Ditto--hope the bears are smart enough to draft him--4.51 electronic time is really moving *ss for a DE--They weren't smart eough to get Jacobs last year though

Taken by Jacksonville in the 5th round. Went a lot lower than some expected, but he was a system-fit for some teams and those teams made deals. Thought he'd go to the Steelers in the 4th round, but nice to see another Redbird in the pro. Should be the 2nd of 3 years we have someone drafted as Laurent should be drafted above where Boomer and Hawk have gone.

I honestly think the Bares are afraid to draft offense in the first round. Enis, Salaam, McNown, Grossman, Colombo, Conway, etc.. None of those first round picks has had a stellar career with the Chicago Bares. Benson is talented but he immediately started causing problems for the Bares. Most likely he will become injured for 2 of the next 3 seasons, and the Bares will start trading all their first round picks, regardless of whether or not they need offense or defense, for whatever crap they will take for them. The Bares have at least had some decent to good success in picking defense, but this year they drafted horribly. Then, the Bares can take a project again with their highest pick.
