Why WVU over KSU?

I believe WVU is Huggins' alma mater. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Why WVU over KSU?
Big East and 1977 graduate of WVU.

The only revolving door that remains unused in Manhattan is the one for the coaches.....

He is from Morgantown, was an assistant there, and it is his alma mater. Plus, he would have a chance to play Cincy every year and be on the East Coast. I could see this happening.

WVU made a HUGE push for Huggins before hiring their current coach. They would love to have him back. I think something like this couldn't happen to a better university (k-state).

According to KSU rivals site Huggins is staying.
According to WVU scout site Beilein is staying!
FWIW!

as funny as it would be, if huggins left kansas state for west virginia before ever coaching a game in manhattan, he'd better be prepared to stay in morgantown because he'd never get hired again.

Get serious. Listen to the Missouri State fan lecture about someone's coaching career ending when you accept and back out of a verbal acceptance of terms. Seems like to me that your coaching career takes a turn for the worse when you leave Tulsa and don't win enough to make Tennessee progress in the NCAA tournament.
Even Dave Bliss got a coaching job again. As long as Huggins is perceived as a recruiter and a winner then some D-1 program will take him. If things get really bad there is always UNLV.

uh, i'm an siu fan.
thanks for the rip, though.
while you're at it, wise guy, name the last coach who accepted one job, never coached a game there then left for another job.
you can't ... that's why this rumor is BS.

Different sport, but Bill Belichick did it. He was named Jets coach, then he ended up going to the Patriots, won multiple Super Bowls, and is one of the most respected coaches in the game. Most people, other than Jets fans of course, probably don't even remember the "controversial" move by Belichick.
WSU baseball coach Gene Stephenson took the job at Oklahoma, then decided to come back to the Shockers.
Dan Dakich, the basketball coach at Bowling Green, took the job at West Virginia and was there a week before coming back to Bowling Green (I believe this was partly because possible violations by WVU committed previously had not been disclosed to him before accepting the job).
Just a few examples across different sports of this kind of thing happening. It isn't common, but it can happen.

Yeah, but then name the last coach named "Bob Huggins".
Huggins isn't exactly famous for his ethics, integrity and lack of desire to mess with "the system".
Coaches "accepting" a job and then changing their minds and staying with their original school happens every few years.
I don't think I've ever heard of a coach accepting one job and then accepting another in the same off-season. If it's going to happen, Huggins is the guy to do it and WVa is the bait that could make him bite.

Buzz Peterson, SMS coach for a day in between Alford and Hinson. I did think you were a Missouri State fan so I thought that you should know the answer to that question.
There are more and longer examples.

Latest rumor - backed up by some actually semi-credible media sources:
Edit: Found a good link without trying within 5 minutes of posting this
ESPN article (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2423256)
Beilein is staying at WVa. In fact Beilein has press releases saying he turned down the NCSt job.
The way NCSt is conducting their job search and the number of people who have publicly stated they don't want it is a bit amazing.
With the rumors that Huggins was considering going to WVa, is Huggins next on NCSt's list? I don't think we need to kill the "Huggins leaving K-State" rumors quite yet.

Yes Buzz did actually show up to Tulsa in later years but the SMS acceptance then phone call that I'm not coming still makes Bear fans angry. What some Bear fans do tend to forget is that Buzz's package was reported to be in excess $250,000. That makes Hinson a quick hire who would definately take the job for a bargain of $100,000 instead of the lack of budget mantra and Title IX complaining posts that ValleyTalk readers are constantly fed on this board.
