A design advisment team has been hired from Ellerbe Becket

The article points out that they haven't been signed to actually design the facility yet, but it sure looks like their going to be the ones.

"Greg Burris, committee chair, stressed that Becket has not been hired as the arena architect although it is unlikely the architectural and design work would go to another firm."

If they are the ones hired, that's really good for Missouri State, because this is a top rate design team. Check out some of their projects at the link below.

Wish the Wichita City Council and the Sedgwick County Commission would have hired them instead for the design work on Wichita's new arena.:noexpression:

Looks like MSU is going to be up to par (and a little over) to the rest of the MVC arenas. With UNI getting their new place, Drake playing some games at Wells Fargo, and now Bradley speeding up their plans for a new place....WOW!!
The Valley schools are showing some major commitment and growth. Oh, almost forgot UE....hope they get their new place.

I don't know that I would say the Sprint Center looks amazing. To me it looks like a cross section of a disco ball.

It looks sort of like one of those jiffy pop popcorn pans before you put it on the stove.

I'm not sure I'd want to get near that facility on a hot afternoon.
