Braves front court gets some help, and takes a hit. Returning Sophomore Sam Singh goes down injured again and just had surgery on his bad knee again. He's missed most of his first two years at BU with injuries. He will be out until conference season starts.
Good news is Bradley got a commit finally from a big man. Matt Salley is from Monroe College in New York and averaged 13 points and 9 rebounds. His team finished 8th in the Juco national tournament and Matt was named to the all tourney team.

Well, its only good news if the kid turns out to be a good player. Its certainly "news". Not sure if it falls in the "good" category yet.
Disappointing recruiting season for Bradley, especially since there were so many holes to fill. Plus it stinks that Sam Singh won't be ready. Plus, there is a chance Xavier Crawford might have some eligibility issues due to his time at Kool and the Gang Academy in Chicago.
Hard to believe the NCAA doesn't find that school legit.

Congrats Braves! Jim Les has done a pretty good job of attracting talent to BU, so I would not be so quick to dismiss the lastest edition. :braves:

Bradley needed to sign someone to play in the middle considering all they are losing. They lost out on their first two choices for recruits in the middle, so this guy was plan C.

I agree.
They had to find someone, which they did. But that makes it news. Its only good news if the kid can play. Heck, if they would have signed me they would have filled the hole and I CERTAINLY wouldn't call adding me to the team as good news :)

While I am not yet sold on his coaching ability (sweet sixteen notwithstanding), I certainly believe that Les is one helluva recruiter. Because of that earned respect, I'll withold judgment on his latest class until I see them on the floor.

Did Bradley get Sikes?
Salley is a fallback recruit. Bradley tried to get Roy Bright and Marcus Sikes first. Roy Bright was a guy who got in trouble at Cincinnati and left. He ended up signing at Delaware State. Sikes was a big time Juco guy who ended up signing with Cincinnati. Minnesota and BU were the other finalists for Sikes.

I haven't been able to to much research on Bradley's recruits this year. Could somebody fill me in and tell me the players that have commited to Bradley?

My take on the BU situation is this...Les is does a great job of getting kids to sign with BU...he seems to not have a great relationship with some of those kids once they have been there for awhile...rumour is and has been that POB and his family have been unhappy with Les for over a year now...when Les fired Biancalana, the guy who recruited POB the disenchantment began.... I personally think the jury is still out on Les as a head coach...though its undeniable that he put together a great run to the sweet 16 this year.
