Final 9-5 Shocks.
OU had baserunners all over the place, but pitching and defense held it together after the hitters teed off early.

The sweep of Long Beach and OU will help the Shox make the regional, especially if they win the series vs USC.

It was a fun game -- weather was great and the rain didn't materialize. And you are right, there were red shirts all OVER the bases after the first two innings. Would love to see a sweep in Normal this weekend, but IlS may have other thoughts on that.

He looked for the short bus so he could say "hi" to you. Sorry you missed the game.

Great quip. Would have been even better if it wasn't a home game with ONLY ONE BUS on site anyway.

The difference is 90% of the people last night weren't there to see the other team play.

HMMM 12,276 vs 6500. which one is bigger?
Note: Remember the date May 16th. Be sure to check attendance figures on that date.
Fact: NU has played teams such as Texas at the Rosenblatt and none have had numbers like the NU-CU series.

An attendance figure approximating the earlier CU-NU game could help make up for all three of those rain-outs vs. South Dakota this weekend.
Creighton has lost eight games to rain-out this year.

The way Cu is playing I don't have much to work with. I have to go with what I got. I can only do the picture of the guy puking so many times. But I could bring him back if you think the appeal is there.

PLEASE, no. The appeal is definitely not there, but then again, neither are CU's attendance figures.

Blue's argument begs the question.......
Is it really CU's largest crowd of the season? Or is it NU's 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th (or whatever, fill in your own number) largest crowd of the season?
Just because the game is in Rosenblatt, and in Omaha, doesn't necessarily mean that it's "CU's crowd."

Procedes are I think actually split with the Omaha Royals. Not sure on the %.

I noticed your sticky with WSU-OU tickets selling for 5 bucks to try and fill the place up. Kind of the same as your favorite CU basketball promo you make fun of all the time, Christ the King night.

Christ the King night eh? Hmm.. I'll have to make note of that. I usually refer to Joan of Arc 2 for 1 night.
That little 5 dollar promo is for baseball not basketball.. big difference and there would have been 6 thousand there regardless of the promotion.

If Creighton would have had a promotion where anyone wearing a Creighton baseball shirt got in free, there would have been no difference in attendance.

Actually the St. Joan of Arc night was even better than that.
It was 2 for FREE night. We got two FREE tickets for just handing in a coupon that people were passing out in the parking lot.
It was the best promotion I had ever seen. The game ended up going into to double OT so we really got a bargain!
The Regular price for the tickets was $9, which would have been a bargain for a division 1 basketball game. My nephew and I saved $18 by using the St. Joan of Arc coupon.
I think we did end up spending $18 on concessions.:valley:
