Sublett named to Dick Howser Award watch list

Shocker Super Sophomore Damon Sublett has been named to the Dick Howser Award watch list. The award is given annually to the nations top player. Damon is batting .395 with 11 homeruns and 42 RBI's. He also has made 13 appearances on the mound, posting a record of 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Damon has 7 saves while striking out 23 and walking 8 in 11 1/3 innings. What is most remarkable is that he has been battling mono for most of the season and has recently been playing through a fractured bone in his hand. Unfortunately, it appears he may be headed towards having to have surgery on his left hand to repair the bone. Hopefully it isn't as bad as we think and he will be able to hold off on the surgery til the offseason. Congrats to Damon!!
