Looks like Bradley could meet up with Illinois in the finals of a new tournament that is happening next year in the Chicago suburbs. Of course Illinois picks Bradley in the year where we will be rebuilding.

A BU-Illinois championship game would be the hottest ticket in town! It would sell out the 11,000 seat Sears Center for sure.

Hopefully, this becomes an annual event and Bradley participates in it frequently. While this tournament doesn't have the allure of beaches or casinos, it is close to many BU alums and gives a couple more games in the Chicagoland area.

Unfortunately, I dont know if the Bradley part of that equation matters much. Any game with the Illini will set out in this arena. But it still counts in the sell-out department :)

Has O'Bryant signed with an agent already or are Bradley fans just submitting to the fact that they believe there's no chance he comes back?

The latter. He has not hired an agent.

The most they could participate is once every four years with the new NCAA rules in place. Although, I guess they probably could participate more....but only count it as an exempt event one time over the four seasons (an unlikely possibility).

Illinois always has and always will be afraid to schedule Bradley consistently. They have picked the years when they choose to play BU and it has always been when they are assured a win. Rest assured, if Illinois lost there would not be a re-match.

I guarantee that once the DePaul series with Bradley expires it will not be renewed by DePaul. After this year DePaul will be 0-3!

Braves4Life...Im not sure how long you have been following BU hoops. But Illinois and Bradley played a three-game series in the late 90's. One game in Chicago, one in C-U, and one in Peoria. Illinois wasn't really great then, nor was Bradley.

Illinois won by 10 in C-U, by five in Chicago and by 10 in Peoria (the third Illini team was pretty good). Bradley had a very fair chance to compete/beat Illinois. They didn't get it done.

As a Bradley fan I could care less if the Braves ever play Illinois. Why would I worry about that? Just get a good schedule with good teams. If Illinois is one of those, great. If its Arizona, thats just as good in my book.

The main reason that Bradley got those games with U of I in the late 90's was because of the Peoria Manual players (Sergio McClain, Marcus Griffith, and Frank Williams) being on the team. Whoever the coach was back then probably wanted to give them a game in front of their hometown fans.

Oh, and technically Depaul is 1-2 vs. Bradley in their current series as they won @ Depaul 3 years ago by 3 after Bradley was up 20 at the half.

Aaaauugh, that was an awful second half at the Allstate Arena. It was such a sinking feeling watching that game slip away.

Sure..and the fact Mo and Kruger were buddies. But the "motives" shouldn't matter. Bradley got three games and didn't get the job done.
