I don't see it reported here, yet. Bluejay Cafe board mentions that Josh had surgery today on his knee to repair the ligament. 5 to 6 months rehab, and probably not back to full speed until midway through the season or so. Probably means starting the season out with a true freshman point guard - makes the Isaac Miles signing very important. Also, report is that surgery is successful about 80% of the time (as far as getting the knee back to playing condition).

If that is true that is a tough blow for CU.
Here is to a speedy recovery. Let's at least hope he makes a 100% recovery even if it means he misses all of next year.:salukis: :jays: :valley:

He appeared to have a prominent future. I wish him the best.

Hope he gets better. But the bright side is that gives the Jays 1 excuse to use for why they finished behind the shox again next season.

I for one hope he gets better and back to normal. I am looking forward to more Mullins v Dotzler match-ups!

Wasn't it I in earlier threads that stated how devestating and tough it is to come back from injury, and how The recovery for both Dotzler and Funk would go hand in hand with the success of Creighton's season? Then told I was clueless......any questions now?

Most of what you were saying was about Funk not Dotzler.
Knee and Shoulder are definatley differnt animals when it comes to bball.

it still proves the point that injuries are many times tougher to come back from than many of us give it credit for. Funk's shoulder may be fine, but there is still a possibility, as it appears in Dotzler's case, that Funk may not be 100% ready to go either at the beginning of the season. Maybe a Blue Jay fan can gives us an up date on Funk's rehab and progress as well?????

Weren't you just standing on a pedestal in another thread talking about how you care about people and not money, while everyone who argued with you just cared about themselves and the almighty dollar?

Now you come into this thread make sure to immediately "see I told you so" over someone else's injury.

Wow.

not quite, it sucks that he's injured, but it's an impact on the success of Creigthon's team next season. It sucks, and I wish him the best, but the truth hurts some times. and the truth is that he's injured and it's going to affect the Creighton basketball team. Belive me, I'd rather win the league with every team at full strenght, to be able to say we took everyone's best shot. So I hope he plays, but the fact is that he is injured.

Far off in the distance one can hear the cogs of the Creighton excuse machine slowly starting to turn... *squeak* *squeak* *squeak*

creighton fans may whine a tad (and i'm pretty sure they have good reason) but their team always finds a way to be a force.

if wichita had lost miller, siu had lost tatum, bradley had lost o'bryant and uni had lost jacobson for the same period of time that creighton lost funk last year, i'm not sure any of our teams could have done as well as the jays.

just my opinion. i think funk is that good.

Keep Dreaming, I am sure if you were playing you would take a cheap shot at Joshs knee, just following a cheap shot to Nates shoulder.

Spew away!

Why are WSU fans the only people who don't understand that injuries affect a team?

A. Hopes he makes a full recovery. Injuries suck for everybody.

B. Why did he wait until now for the surgery?

I think the answer for B is that they were looking for non-surgical options. I don't care how good the surgery is, having an option for rehab that doesn't include being cut open should be preferred every time, all things being equal.

I decided to finally settle this Omaha vs. Wichita debate.

I went to this website...http://www.msu.edu/user/vandrag2/8-ball.html... typed in this exact pharse, "Is Omaha better than Wichita?"...and received this answer..."My sources say yes!" What else do you need? Clearly Omaha is better than Wichita now so let's drop this argument once and for all?

When Dotzler comes back healthy playing time might be hard to find.

This is what I got when I asked "Are there any fans more delusional than those who are fans of the Cyanocitta cristata?"

I figured it must be because nobody from Wichita would be so clever as to write Shocker kick @rse backwards - unless of course you are related to Clod.:puke:

Clever? (*I* thought so)....related to the CB? (at least I don't think so)
BTW, that picture of emesis is much more pleasant than your fellow C. cristata fan's.
