Southern returns everyone, creighton returns nearly everyone, should be back to the good 'ole days, but I actually agree with Katz, Salukis regain the championship after a fluke year with da shux winning it.

Didn't we decide earlier that pre-season picks are crap? If these guys are so great and so accurate, why did the consensus of experts show the '05-'06 MVC regular season champions and Sweet Sixteen participant as the #5 team prior to the season??

Are they so much more credible now than they were a year ago when they picked WSU as the 5th best team in the MVC?

It'd help his credibility if he were to have said something that even signified only a mild understanding of what the various team's prospects are going into next season and how they may play against each other.

Saying something like "Creighton returns a lot of experienced talent and a proven track record of success, but SIU also benefits from a wealth of returning starters and features a very effective system of rugged defensive basketball and I believe they'll sneak out on top of another balanced year of MVC basketball" would be an opinion that would at least give the apperance of knowing what you're talking about.

Maybe it's just the format of those stupid chats but "SIU wins and excuse me while I shill for my employer" doesn't exactly scream excellence in journalism.

Meh, there is nothing Isaso can say that he hasnt said a trillion times about WSU. Im sure he can take a little ribbing now and then.

Besides, Cold, Isaso, and MKR never really seem to get set off by my posts, I dont normally get into pissing matches because it aint my style. They can try and drag me into it, but I rarely bite if ever. :original:
