With the possibility of WSU starting football again, I'm curious as to the other stadiums.
If possible, can you post pictures of your stadium and how many seats?
Also, any chance of expansion of your stadium, etc...
Thanks in advance.

Plaster Sports Complex on the Campus of Missouri State University.

Currently seating 16,500 fans, the Robert W. Plaster Sports Complex has seen a lot of changes since the first football games was played at the stadium on September 19, 1941, against Durant College out of Oklahoma. Springfield's first all-weather track was installed in the stadium in 1987 and in 2000 the Omniturf artificial turf was replaced with the revolutionary Field Turf Synthetic Grass. In 1991, expansion and renovation of the sports complex included expanded seating, skyboxes, additional media accommodations, 12 handball/racquetball courts, and a new university Athletics Strength and Conditioning Center. Home to the Missouri State University Bears, the sports complex is a popular hangout for Bears Fans during the football season.

Thanks for posting the picture. That looks like a nice stadium. Is the other side the same or a little smaller? Stadiums always look so much better when they are packed. That's one reason if WSU goes 1AA that the stadium should be downsized to about 20K.
Nice stadium there at MSU.

Hancock Stadium in Normal, IL.

Currently seats 15,000. She's old and not much to look at, but its home :original: A major renovation is scheduled for the near future to turn the south end into a "horseshoe" design, increase seating capacity and greatly improve the overall look of the stadium.

I will not post a picture of SIUs stadium cause you might throw up on your computer if you see it.

OK, I'm sure there is a valid reason other than the architect was drunk, but why is the press box not centered on the 50? Kind of an odd thing...

I heard the Illinois State football pressbox is off center because it's built into the building behind it. I was told you can see the basketball court from the football press box. Kind of a two sided thing.

Redbirds, was I told wrong?

I've never heard that, but I suppose it's possible. The two structures are adjacent to one another. The Concession stands were shared when we used Horton as our hoops facility.

That's a very good question. For some odd reason or another, the seats are red, blue, and yellow. I think it would look cooler if you take the red and make it black, turn the blue purple, and leave the yellow alone.

The color scheme at the UNI Dome is like Hammons Student Center its called 1970's architecture.

I bet it is wicked noisy in the UNI Dome.

It can get so loud in there you literally cannot hear the person next to while they are yelling at you. It works well to waste the other team's time outs, as Southern Illinois finds out every year.

use of silent count+smart QB=no wasted timeouts.

You would think other teams would figure that out when they visit the dome. I remember Youngstown State had a video clip of a news broadcast where they showed how they prepared to play in the UNI-Dome by practicing in a gym with speakers blaring crowd noise.

It didn't work too well...

Like people preparing to play at Arrowhead Stadium with Fog Horns blasting their entire practices?

This site doesn't have the largest pictures....but it gives you all stadiums on one single page.

You are right about the press box. It is there because it was also the basketball pressbox.
