Sing to the Barry Manillow rythem of "Lola"

Verse 1
His name was Merkel
He told his Israel Farewell
He's coming early so he does not have to be a military personal
He wonders why does Wichita so smell
Shockers think he plays basketball well
In fact he would be better off being on Montel

Verse 2
His name was Merkel
The Shockers think he is just so swell
They hope he and his teammates will jell
Could be tough since they all sing Noel
Once they play Creighton they can kiss NCAA hopes farewell
cause their head will be ringing like a ring tone from alexander graham bell

Here's one back atcha for coach altman to read, summarizing his post Mia-Fla rampage last year in the NIT:

(First, I would like to apologize to all the living members of Alice in Chains. This should be sung to the tune of Angry Chair)

Sitting on an angry chair
Bad ref calls I pull my hair
Lost by one run everywhere

What's in the mirror I say
Bad example I set today
Creighton poor loser bluejay
Behind WSU in the Valley race

Blue nads turned red I lost my pair
Guts are bouncing everywhere
Still burning on my angry chair

I'm a little boy I took a step back
When I chose that ref to attack
All that I want is to say
Get on your knees, beg for a call today boy

I hate to lose, yeah
We got screwed, yeah
Singin' the blues, yeah
Can't get a call anywhere

Qwest Center prison, we play
Huskers must've paid the ref today
Now I'm strung out anyway

At the ref I continue to gaze
Kick his *** if I wasn't in a daze
In denial from the call we didn't get today

Lost one NIT game and cried
Made such a fool of myself I wish I died
Now in denial, startin the slide
I've got no heart, and angry eyes

I hate to lose, yeah
We got screwed, yeah
Singin' the blues, yeah
Can't get a call anywhere

Qwest Center prison, we play
Huskers must've paid the ref today
Now I'm strung out anyway...........

Actually, Lola was a showgirl but the song was "Copacabana". The song "Lola" was by the Kinks but Lola was a man.

Actually, you're never certain whether Lola is a man or not....the line is something like "I know what I am, I'm glad I'm a man and so is Lola".

The "so is Lola" can be interpreted in two ways:

1. Lola is also a man

2. Lola is also glad I'm a man

Shocker news IS Valley news, last time some of us checked, Gay* fan.

Here's how it works. The Valley is a set of schools, each with their own mascot, fans, coaches, players, and array of academic and athletic programs. Wichita State is a part, or a subset of the larger set. So the casual, nonbiased reader who visits this forum should be able to find updates on just about any subject involving Valley schools.

Set.......Subset......well, hope that helps put it on your level. I think I first learned about sets and subsets in the 2nd or 3rd grade.

No, we're evidently the center of attention because there can't be a WSU thread or post that isn't almost immediately followed by a Creightonian hijacking the thread into a "WSU sucks" theme or completely making an *** of themselves via other methods.
