Curious as to how many were in attendance when Creighton played Akron in an exhibition tourney on Friday.......also saw on the MVC website that CU was playing Clemson today.
Drake only drew about 1,300 for a recent exhibition game with Notre Dame.
EDIT - Never mind, just found out that the Jays drew 2,018 for the Akron game.

I don't know much about soccer attendance, but I think that was Drake's largest crowd ever for a soccer game.....I wouldn't know for sure, I've never been to one.

Creighton was playing in Akron this weekend and had 4 teams that could make deep runs into the NCAA tourney this year. I'm not quite sure why these were exhibition games, but to have Creighton win this event is a pretty big deal.

when did this happen...and just my opinion since ive played at Plaster and Cooper, but i would rather play on natural grass...feels better on the feet and doesnt hurt when you slide...

The move for CU from Tranquility (in West Omaha) to Morrison Stadium (on-campus) obviously gave avg. attendance a boost for CU home games.
Attendance is roughly a little over 2000/game since the move.
But strangely enough, most of the top attended game(s) were still at Tranq.
(Every game from the 2003 season on is at Morrison)
Top Home Crowds in Bluejay History

3. 4,345 vs. Virginia (exhibition), Aug. 28, 1993 (T, 2-2)
4. 4,029 vs. UMKC (exhibition), Aug. 27, 2004 (W, 1-0)
5. 3,860 vs. SMU, Nov. 21, 1992 (L, 0-1)
6. 3,483 vs. Butler, Aug. 29, 2003 (T, 0-0 2OT)

10. 3,065 vs. UMKC, Sept. 27, 1996 (L, 0-1)
If I'm not mistaken, however, the biggest crowd in the state's history was the 2005 Class A (like 5-A) Boys State Championship at Morrison.

Yeah they are trying to kill the soccer program, you cant recruit if you play on field turf. Cooper was a great place to play.
You heard it here first, this move will cost us to lose Jon Leamy as a coach and will cause are program to fall.
