I voted yes. Many of my comments were in defense of WSU's scheduling practices (although I have repeatedly gone on record as posting that I don't want it to become a habit). I think what we've added to our schedule has a lot of potential to benefit the Valley.

With respect to the sore subject of scheduling, what's done is done. There's no point in debating it further if you can't do it in a civil manner.

If I'm a fan of WSU, I therefore have to be a fan of the Valley. That includes all other schools. Bar none. And that only changes during head-to-head matchups.

I voted "No" simply because the CU/WSU schism appears be very similar to the Sunni/Shia divide. Thank goodness the Missouri Valley isn't located in a land with 120+ degree temps or Qwest and Koch facility life expectancy would be very similar to a mosque in rival territory. Personally I'm tired of conflict and would like to see a cease fire.

Go Valley!!

Go Shocks!!!!

I'd certainly like to see it happen, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Atleast take the feud to the off topic section. Sorta like "take it outside".

I think most of us would love for this to end. But I voted no because I'm pretty sure it won't.

I don't see it ending because of a few members that always have to turn this into a pissing match even if its a thread that has nothing to do with CU or WSU.

Looks like the games between CU and WSU are going to have some seats filled with lots of haters. Hey, a rowdy atmoshere is a good thing!! T:chair: he VT war between the two fan bases is kind of funny (even though there's way too much of it littering VT).

Every WSU game at Koch Arena will be packed and rockin'.
We don't wait for the opponent to arrive.

IMO it's about 2-3 fools for both CU and WSU that seem to be 99% of the problem, either saying something or instigating something that brings in other people. It got really old a very long time ago. It's too bad, the board used to be a lot better.

I also agree.

Once that small group begins spewing garbage in a thread it basically poisons the thread and more reasonable posters find little use in further contributions to the thread.

By now it's a predictable type of post that sets it off. It's so predictable it's almost become a VT cliche.

Add in the categorization of all CU and WSU fans by the actions of a few and many well-intentioned posts get interpreted as being a direct attack on the other school.

I tell ya who I hate ... Indiana State fans! One or two of them show up here once a month with their hats in their hands and actually make reasonable posts.:innocent: I say we ban their asses right now.:original:

Just having a little fun, fellas!

Joey, I missed who won the battle between Terre Haute and whoever they were matched against...darn it! You have to watch out for those level-headed Syc fans, they can sneak onto VT and pollute the board with their posts that are actually about basketball

It is funny to read SOME of the CU-WSU stuff, but it does seem to kill alot of threads. That's bringing VT down a bit, but b-ball season is coming around, so maybe we can get back to talking about that...huh? :original:

Watch the SIU - St. Mary thread. See if a WSU-SIU arguement starts. Then see if a CU-SIU arguement starts.

I would count on the WSU intervention (look for the SU one-and-done is better than a series with a quality opponent), but I don't believe CU-SIU has had a skirmish for awhile.

CU and SIU have no reason to skirmish.
We both respect the hell out of each other.:jays: :salukis:

From cufan in the St. Mary's thread.

Reading these posts and the coaches comments, it seems to boil down to the school's and coach's self-image. CU and SIU do not believe they have to prove themselves to anybody. The body of work they have compiled over the past 7 or 8 years speaks for itsself. They feel there programs are above one and dones or two for ones no matter who the opponent.

Some other programs have not yet achieved that image. If WSU is in the NCAA's for three or four more years, I predict WSU's feeling toward the one and done's will be much the same as SIU and CU is now. Of course, only time (and sustained success) will tell.

Notre Dame wanna be makes not so subtle condescending statement. Replys will follow. Not tough to figure out.

I think Terre Haute was matched up against Cedar Falls/Waterloo and lost because it doesn't have a bunch of Kum N Go's.
