Season Tickets Sold Out for Men’s Basketball

Wichita State’s men’s basketball season tickets for the 2006-07 season have been sold out, the Wichita State Athletic Department announced Aug. 21.

Fans on the waiting list that did not receive season tickets will be kept on the waiting list for next season. The only single game tickets that will be available for the 2006-07 season will be student tickets that are not picked up and tickets that visiting teams return to WSU

Congrats again to the Shox for their sellout. That is good for them and good for the Valley.

Something Im curious about though: What does WSU do with their student section/tix during Xmas break? Do enough students stick around for break games to fill their section? I ask because here at ISU there are usually only a handful of students that stay around campus for break games so they sell student section seats to the general public. (Or at best they will save 1 section for the students who stuck around for break, like the UE game last year). Just curious how WSU (and other MVC schools for that matter) handle that situation.

They allot a thousand student tix. Whatever student tix aren't taken for free by students 48 hours prior to tipoff, go on sale to the public. So, you will have a fair amount of GA student tix available during xmas break.

CU fan calls eomaha, omaha cowboy and the like, they jump on the thread spewing all sorts of pro-Omaha and anti Wichita crap.

Cold wakes up from his Mad Dog induced hangover, sees the thread and is instantly cured!

In roughly two hours, we will see the Creightonians noting how CU has sold 13,000+ season tix, compared to 11,000 total for Koch. Cold will reply with a salvo explaining how CU "rents" the Qwest Center.

Some well meaning SIU fans will try to throw a little logic and reasoning hoping to stop the fire, but that will just fan the flames.

Eomaha will start posting some left-wing crap, only to be refuted by Right wing banter being tossed back from Wichita.

Finally, the salvos will degrade into "dirty bombs", with both sides insulting mothers, expectant mothers, grandmothers, teenage mothers, peoples wives, girlfriends, children etc.

In about two days, we will have three pages of comparing Wichita and Omaha trailer parks, homeless population, GDP and each cities statistics on sexually transmitted diseases.
