NOTES: Illinois will begin individual workouts next week. Former Champaign Centennial forward Steve Holdren, who played last season at South Dakota State, will attempt to walk on at Illinois. . . . Jeremiah Wise, a sophomore point guard from Maywood Proviso East who played last season at Indiana State, also will attempt to walk on.
What caused him to leave InSU anyway. Looking at his numbers before he got hurt they were not bad?

I remember a year ago that Jeremiah kept saying in interviews that he knew he was as good as or better than David Moss and that he would lead ISU to greatness. He was pretty good, and fun to watch for sure, but he seems to have a pretty inflated view of himself. He felt he needed to be at a "big time" school, and he seems to think he will see a lot of playing time and have an impact at U of I.
I wish Jeremiah nothing but the best.

WHOA! That'll do it.
He certainly had the opportunity to demonstrate his on-court ability to back those words up.
Someone with that attitude might become upset that during Moss' absence, not every pass went to him, or that when he did get the ball, sometimes he was supposed to pass it to someone else.

Well if Illinois gets Rose he should have a great seat to watch the games from anyway.

My thinking as well. I'm sure he will make a good practice body. Do walk-ons get the same pass as the rest of the basketball team when it comes to school admissions?
Wise never seemed to put his heart behind his defense, leading to his limited play at ISU.
