This thread pretty much proves what I thought all along. The trash-talkers want to irritate the maximum number of people. That way posters looking for information have to read through 4 pages of garbage posted by (generally 4 to 6 posters) to get the information in the 4 or 5 posts that are actually on topic.

There are hundreds of people who visit VT for information. Generally those posters have neither the time nor the inclination to read the garbage and venom spewed by 6 or 10 people who seemingly have nothing else to do in life besides irritating each other.

If 6 or 10 people want to hijack every thread and turn every thread into a repeat of every other thread for the last 2 years, well, now you get to do that here, or have your posts moved to here or deleted, or possibly be banned from VT.

you know, the trash talking on the "regular" board did get a little out of hand. But at the same time, it kept the board from being completely and utterly boring as it is now. Yes facts are nice, but man its a snooze fest out there. 1) if your on a message board with competing teams and expect to find only information, and no smack talk, you are delusional. 2) if you don't want smack talk between rival fans then you're not a true fan, suck it up and deal with it, or go find stat central.

To be quite honest, in the spirit of trash talk. All of you who are complaining about the trash talking that was on the "regular board" are a bunch of freaking P*ssies.
