49-0 over Lock Haven. Now a week off before the trek to Indiana.

It was probably more lopsided than the score showed. The Salukis outgained Lockhaven 500 yards to 92. Lockhaven only had 62 rushing yards. Three different Salukis (Whitlock-134 yds, Hill-107 yds, and Randle-66 yds) each did better than the whole Lockhaven team.

Sure hope bob can make a similar post after this week's game with Indiana.

Another BCS Conference school falls to the ranks of non D-1 competition (although SIU is one of the better non D-1 programs). 35-28 Final as previously undefeated Indiana goes down.

After trailing 21-7, The Dawgs just took over.
Almost 400 yards of offense.

Congrats Salukis. With how UNI and WKU have been playing lately, looks like we're battling you and YSU right now for top Gateway team.

The guys bent early yesterday, but once the ship went back upright, they regained their composure and put on a nice comeback to win. Neither defense really could stop much and I thought our lesser numbers might wear us down too much by game's end. Very nice turnout of SIU fans there!

Saluki Bob,

You are correct. The Dawgs bent a little in the beginning from some jitters and bad calls, but they never broke!

Standout Saluki -- John Randle is picking up yards again.

A summer transfer to Division I-AA Southern Illinois after being kicked off KU's team in March 2005, Randle has 103 yards on 17 carries for the Salukis (2-0).

The former Wichita Southeast standout had 37 yards on seven attempts in last weekend's 35-28 upset victory at Indiana. He is SIU's No. 2 running back behind senior Arkee Whitlock, who has 237 yards.

Good Win Salukis

The Saluki D held Ark-PB to 13 yards rushing on 24 attempts. Amazing! Hope we can keep rolling with conference play starting next week.
Go Dawgs!

Statistically, the Salukis are leading the league in total offense and total defense. Not bad for a "rebuilding year".

55-3 over the Trees. Gotta bump this and hopefully the Dawgs keep rolling! Homecoming next week against the Leathernecks. :salukis:

55-3 definitely qualifies as winning easily and belongs in this thread.

Salukis beat Western Illinois 31-24. Toughest game since Indiana.
