The poll is just another piece of information blowing in the wind. The thing about the MVC polls is that they are usually wrong. However they provide lots of ammo for arguments among MVC fans.

I guess I should add that last year's MVC poll which picked Paul Miller as POY was right on.

All kidding aside, I don't think there were any big surprises. Illinois State :redbirds: definitely seems to be too low (9th????). I think you could flip-flop any of the top four :jays: :salukis: :shockers: :bears: and not be far off base.

Should be a very good year for the valley. Think Indiana St. and Bradley will be the weakest. The fight not to play on Friday will be close this year. Illinois St, Evansville, Drake, Northern Iowa should make that a very interesting race and the fight for the Champion should be very good too with possibly 4 top 25 teams.
