Who plays the toughest exhibition game in the MVC? Drake tips off in approx. 3 hours, 48 minutes against defending National DII Champions, Winona State. Honestly, they make me nervous! :bulldogs: :fear: :fear: :fear: :fear: :bulldogs:

I would agree that Winona state is the toughest.
The Shox play Emporia St. who beat Nevada last year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe they lost a close one to Nevada last year. Lost by 4 or so late and probably should have won. But they did lose a lot from what I've seen. Drake probably has the toughest game.

FSN midwest MVC basketball and Chiefs announcer Mitch Holtus' son is a Freshman for Emporia State this year also.

actually, it was Rockhurst that gave Nevada a close game last year. Emporia State took K-State to the wire last year before losing by 4.
I would say from the ones I know about...Winona State is the best exhibition opponent for the Valley this year.

Bradley plays them also, tomorrow night (11/1), so they have a quick turn around after Drake. Good luck Bulldogs and give us a good scouting report when its over.

EA Sports is 3-3 against the Jays the last 6 years. Jays beat em last year but I know they beat Iowa State last year.
About half a dozen or so CBA'ers, NDBL'ers or whatever they call that minor league.

Evansville plays cross-town DII power University of Southern Indiana. Not only is the game a tough test because of the team, the pressure on the Aces to win despite it being an exhibition is enormous. With UE's struggles the last few years, and USI's success, it has been a constant "USI is superior to UE now....blah, blah, blah" by many in town. UE won a couple years ago in their first ever meeting. A UE loss would be devastating to a team already losing its community support. Drake could lose to Emporia State and in a couple of weeks it means nothing. UE loses to USI and the ramifications could be horrible and last quite a while. Because of that, I think UE has the toughest pre-season game.

It'll be fun to watch Mathies vs. Funk and Dabbert vs. Tolliver.
