Mike Bizoukas backs out of his commit. Was probably the feather in their 2007 recruiting class cap. Says he still may sign with UNI but no doubt some ethics-less Big 11 people are getting in his ear.

Would the initials of said person be GM? :naughty:

If he's already reconsidered, best for UNI to move on. Don't look back, look forward.

I think that the initials are probably KS

Bizoukas just feels the Valley's not big enough for him.....he wants to play in a "big conference".

I think the initials are EC, as in Eric Cole, his AAU coach who seemed to be the one reporting to the original media source in the thread.

From the article:

Cole believes that Bizoukas is the best pure point guard in the state of Indiana, and feels that he is a bona fide high-major player.

I believe AAU coaches are a big factor behind every recruit thinking they deserve immediate PT on a top-20 team. AAU coaches are going to hype every player they have to the max to make it look like they have a better team. That's the only way to get better players next summer.

I think it would be interesting to look at the shoes worn in college by the players from AAU teams and the shoes and coaching contracts of AAU coaches the next summer.

Of course Cole wants Bizoukas to sign with a "high-major". Those teams have a lot more room to negotiate with their shoe contracts.

Sounds like he has Casey Crawfish syndrome. As in too good for the lowly Missouri Valley. When are these kids going to learn?

I normally do not flame players. However, I feel sorry for this kid's dad and his AAU coach if they are dumb enough to think that the Valley is not good enough for him. I do not want him in the Valley. I want this kid to go to the Big 10 or Big 12 and then for the next four years I want a Valley Point Guard to "teach him a lesson." I want his school to lose to UNI at least once and then for UNI to get to the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight.

If he ends up at Nebraska he WILL get schooled by a valley point guard, at least once a year.

Drop this kid like a rock....he's made his decision to "decommit", well then that's that. Do not even think about it. There are plenty of talented players that DO realize playing in the MVC is where it's at.

Good luck in your "big" conference kid!

Keep on rockin' Valley!!!! :valley:

he will sign with Depaul. I'm sure there wasn't anyone from there whispering in his ear while commited to UNI :ermm:.

Well, UNI has a 2007 Scholarship to work with now. I have no doubt that the coaching staff will find a talented prospect.:panthers: :valley:
