Tough game for Creighton as they beat EA Sports 80-76 in overtime. Quick assesment of the game: Toliver is a man amongst boys, Funk looks good, Porter needs polish, Isaac Miles played the point and will be a very good newcomer. Altman played some very unusual combos on the floor, the team needs to play together and EA Sports can flat out shoot the ball.

EASports beat NCAA tourney team Utah St. last night or the night before. They're a good team.

But was it the same EA Sports squad? Don't they usually have several different teams?

Same team.

A few comments. Miles looked really good for his first game. Funk looked solid. AT was dominant. The rest of the squad still looked a bit off/out of sync/whatever you want to call. Don't know if the competition is so intense in practice that they are playing to not do something wrong sort of thing? In the end, it was an exhibition game and a dream come true for Dana and the staff. A positive that they were able to win; they were down 2 with about 1:05 to play in OT. And they get to teach/coach/discipline/condition for a few days now and reality check a the team.

If tonight was any indicator, Miles should be the replacement starting PG until Dotzler comes back. Not taking anything away from Bahe, but I was very impressed with Miles tonight. Bahe was sloppy at times, a few traveling and carrying calls, Miles looked polished.

I was also very impressed with Gakou and Nengsu, both look improved.

I was unimpressed with Bahe. I think Altman was as well.

IMO, the team just looked "slow" when he was running the point. Plus, I didn't see much penetration by him at all.

I don't want to ride him too much, afterall, he hasn't played a game in almost 3 years. But, I think your right, Altman didn't look pleased about his play.

Another thing the jays didn't do well was execute offensively. Instead of the normal inside-outside sets we normally run, it turned into the shot clock at 5 and a forced 3. We need to have AT touch the ball in the paint 90% of possessions. It didn't seem like AT got to post up a whole lot, but his jumper is GOOD! Lots of room for improvement for everybody, and i'm PUMPED!

For those curious about numbers, Tolliver put 24 pts and grabbed 8 rebs. Funk had 15 pts, 4 rebs and 5 assts.

Tolliver looked very good. I was impressed with Miles and firmly he will be a star in the future. Funk was solid. The rest of the guys need to keep working though. Frankly, we didn't play like the #23 ranked team in the nation last night.

The attendance was real close to 13K.

Tell Altman to quit reading Lowery's book on offensive sets

I think Iowa State beat them by 1 tonight. They appear to be a pretty salty team.
