I'm starving for more basketball LOL. Anyone know how Evansville or Indiana State are doing in their exhibition games tonight?

Well I may sound like just another optimistic ISU fan but.....................................
The Sycamores looked great, faster, stronger, smarter. We have 6 great freshman and this could be a team in 2 or 3 years to really stand out.

I think its great that you're enthused, and while InST is the concensus 10th pick, I don't think they are a bad basketball team. In fact, 5 years ago they probably would be picked mid-pack.
How about a little analysis for us.

sadly you can't get it from the ISU site, they're so dam* slow at getting info on there it's pathetic.
How about a little analysis for us.

ISU beat Missouri Southern by about 30 tonight. The competition wasn't the toughest we've ever played, but I have to say that ISU looked more confident and well put together than we have in a long while.
I am pretty jazzed up after tonight's game. Our new players looked like they will outstanding additions. Cole Holmstrom will be a force in the Valley. Let's hope that this will not be a repeat of last year where we were just the conferences RPI-boosting sacraficial lamb, where we won all the non-conference games and then bombed in the MVC.

Sycamores looked like they have a lot more scoring options than last season. Less of the offense goes through one person (like with Moss last season) and more players look like they have the confidence to shoot -- especially Cole. He looked a lot like... dare I say it... a young Menser.
It was like watching a different team. I say the Sycs avoid the play in games this year and pick up some road MVC wins.

Evansville won by two in front of a packed house. Southern Indiana missed a 3 that would have won the game in the closing seconds.

Nice job by all Valley teams winning the past couple days. I know they're "only" exhibition games, but some of them were close, tight battles. I think for the most part we are all excited about our teams this year. Lets hope we all do great in the non-con before we start decimating each other in conference play!
