No we don't, if either team starts sucking, no one would care about that game anymore. SIU and SLU would be big no matter what. Thats why i said it's not a "real" rivalry. I want a rivalry similar to Bradley and ISU's rivalry that's a real rivalry.

Just got back from the game. The motion offense is finally starting to click, it was looking much smoother than usual. Defense was good of course. Falker and shaw are really starting to come alive, they compliment each other very well.:salukis:

Their fans are awful. They were dropping F bombs as loud as they could in front of little kids. A SLU father right next to us dropped an F bomb right in front of his 12-13 year old boys. Wow. Also They were cheering for a guy named Johnson on their team to injure Bryan Mullins. Classless. That all just ticked me off, and thought other SIU and valley fans should know what classless idiots SLU fans are.

Congrats SIU on a fantastic win over the Billikens! SLU was coming in on a roll, and the Salukis put them down. A win by MSU at SLU can make the Valley 2-0 against the Billikens. Hard to believe that SLU thought the Billikens would be better off in the A10 instead of the Valley. Hmmm? On second thought, they were probably right because the Billikens have a decent shot of winning some games against A10 competition. :innocent:

SIU now has a full week to prepare for their road game at WKU. The Hilltoppers are playing at a high level, and getting a victory in Bowling Green will be a tall order for the Salukis.

I almost fell out of my seat when the T was assigned to Shaw. Laughable call. Heck, the kid hasn't said three words since he hits campus, the crowd is going crazy, he shows the slightest bit of emotion, says "face" to his hapless defender and gets a T? Mercy.

Matt Shaw if becoming a player fun to watch, he's scoring in all kinds of ways, asking for the basketball, becoming a fun, fine, college basketball player.

I can't stand SLU, Soderberg is only fun to watch in a demented, hapless kind of way. But, they have a nice club. This will turn out to be a good win for SIU. SLU will be in the top 3 in the A10, if not the A10 league or tournament winner.

If Coach Lowery and staff could only isolate Wesley Clemmons on film and explain to him he could score 14 points instead of 4 by simply having a little confidence and aggression, SIU would be in business.

I was only about 20 yards away from the SLU fans in questions, and while I heard the cheering at the football score and several clueless comments, I did not hear an f-bomb, so there is probably no way the refs could have heard either.

It should be noted that the 'fans' in question were not representative of vast majority of SLU fans who attended, and those who post on the Billiken's message board.
