This is a poor loss any way you slice it. 1st win over a Valley team for WMU since '97. Sure glad it was against us. :no:

Dilly and Slack can't stay out of foul trouble again and that's all she wrote. 'Birds were an unacceptable 5-27 from 3 and were outrebounded 41-28

Once again the 'Birds struggle terribly to put the ball in the basket. WMU was allowing well over 70ppg and the 'Birds manage just 57.

This is sad.

I was really hoping this game would get us re-energized and re-focused, but it was just the opposite. We were out-hustled all game long. We got dominated on the boards, were in foul trouble all game, and we couldnt hit ANY shots. This game was exactly like last year.

Not counting the meaningless DII game we have Tuesday night (which we might actually lose, playing like we are), we then travel to Ill-Chicago, play SIU at home, and then go to CU. After Jan 1st, we'll be sittin pretty at 6-7 (0-3).

It was fun while it lasted. Good luck to the other MVC teams. You can count us as your "gimme" game.

The 'Birds will finish last again in the Valley with an effort like this. No question about it.

I gotta agree with my brothers DC and Phantom.

This was a disappointing loss. Not counting the last 5 minutes of this game, we have played 4 really bad halves of basketball in a row.

Well we actually play D-2 Lewis University which is good because Loyola would pound us right now. We have a chance against Lewis at least.

Still, after Lewis we are at UIC home against SIU and at CU. Those are pretty safe to say all losses. I got my tickets for the UIC game and now I wish I didn't.

Looks like another 0-3 start to the Valley season and buried again by the New Year. Horrible time to be a Redbird fan right now. Horrible.
