Nate Funk, since he gets away with that push-off crap. Last year it would have been Ben Jacobsen.

I love to hate Nate Funk. Maybe its the hair cut, or the fact he looks nothing like a basketball player should, or that he has no spec of athletic ability, but still manages to kill you with 15 points. It's disturbing. I just want to punch him in the face every time SIU plays Creighton.

I wouldn't hate him so much if he was just a bruising, brawling foul machine....it's the fact that he gets away with so much that pisses me off. He's a master at initiating contact....and then having the other guy get caught retaliating. He also leads with his left forearm every time he drives to the basket.

Effing Korn from SIU.

He would play lackluster ball all season until he saw Creighton on the schedule. Then, against CU for some reason, he would play like a first team all american. On top of that, he looked an awful lot like Dopey of the Seven Dwarves.

I hate that guy....

Let him know your feelings when SIU comes to Omaha ... he's on the coaching staff.:original:

He was amazing ... he'd be a no-show against Evansville and Drake then start hitting fallaway 3s against the Blue Jays.

I used to despise Robbie Sieverding when he played at UNI.
I used to despite Jamar Howard when he played at Wichita State.

Then I realized I cheered for Kent Williams for four years so I figured I'd just ****.

Previous: Bob Harstad of Creighton. He abused SIU in every possible way.

Present: Coleman & Stout of UNI.

But, I would love to have all of them playing for SIU.

oh and my 3 least favorite: brauer, ahearn, and mullins. mullins is tough as nails but if it wasn't for him coming to SIU, josh dotzler would be starting at PG right now.

OK, I'll bite.

I was never real fond of Gregg Alexander for some reason. Actually, it had nothing to do with him. I was staying at the Radison (it was something else four years ago) on Veterans Parkway one night when three guys in the bar tried to convince me that Alexander was twice the player Kent Williams would ever be. And they were serious. Everytime I saw GA play after that I hoped he'd miss every shot.

Call it a drunk grudge.

There have been a lot of ISU guys on my "list" over the years....Mike VandeGaard, Dan Muller, Jeppson, etc. I think ISU won 8-9 games in the last seconds against DU in about a 10 year span.

i should put jeppson on there too...played at my rival school in high school, and killed us (everyone did though), and whenever he was home he'd walk around by himself like he was a big shot, and then played for illinois state...where we owned his ***...very nice

I think Matt Webster would have to be on the top of my list. I just do not know how any fan of the Aces can ***** about how physical SIU plays when you have the most physical player in the whole league on your own team. I remember last year Ace dad going off about Young’s foul on POB. I remember wondering how many cheap shots Webster gives in one game, let alone a whole season. Also I think Webster's cheap shots could hurt somebody a lot easier that Young's just because of sheer size.

I also do not like Kyle Wilson now after the SIU game. He ***** about ever call. I replayed the whole game a slowed down his fouls and all but one were fouls. The most glaring one was when it looked like Shaw came over the back, but if you look close Kyle just grabbed his arm a pulled him down. Then he was complaining the whole time.

its not a player, but coaches.

Barry Hinson and Mark Turgeon. Asking for respect when they really haven't done anything to earn it....and no, one trip to the NCAA tourney is not enough whether you made the sweet 16 or not, repeated success earns my respect.

As for Barry, its self explanatory.

Funny ... I've never heard anybody from Evansville complain about SIU's style of play.:innocent:

vocal yes, professional no. Its one thing to spout off at the mouth the way he does, its another to do it with some class, proffesionalism and a manner in which something will actually get accomplished or listened to. I'm a valley fan, but his vocal rants, come off as whining not promoting.

I've got no problem with Kyle Wilson, but I do have to say he has the biggest horseface since John Elway (this coming from a diehard Broncos fan)

I did not mind Kyle before watching that game over again. I just do not understand how you can complain about a call when you know that you just grab the guy and pulled his arm down. The funny thing is that if he would have just went strait up for the ball with out first pulling on Shaws arm, Shaw would have most likely be called for over the back.:original:

Jamar Howard and Eric Coleman. They both can talk some trash, especially Howard. Just looking at him made me angry.

Honorable mention goes to Ben Jacobson, because he pretty much owned the Bears. If he would've made that three at the end of last year's game in the dome, he would've easily been propelled to number one on my list.

I have heard virtually every public statement that barry hinson has made in the past 7 years or so and he has been nothing but class the entire time.

I would LOVE for you to give me an example.

I do not mind Barry. I think he is just the type of guy that says what ever other coach in the MVC wants to say. For that I give him props.

Good thing they could care less what you think about them in terms of receiving respect.

If I were to pick coaches...being the son of a coach, I hate coaches who suck as game coaches...barry hinson is not the best game coach...i think he prepares his team well, but when it comes to game time, he can make stupid decisions. Turgeon FINALLY proved himself as a coach who can get his team over the hump, so I reverse all the things I said about him before.

Question to the drake fans...at what point do you give up on dr tom? He's a great guy, but at some point you have to want to expect more, right?
