Yesterday Steve Lavin, during his weekly Big Ten matchup as color commentator, was speculating on the Big 10's at large possibilities.

He did this by grouping the Big 10 teams into 3 parts, Two at the top, three at the bottom, and the remaining teams in the middle.

The top 2, Wisconsin and Ohio State, locks for the NCAA tournament.

The bottom three, I think he put Penn State, Northwestern and Purdue down there, all three to have a tough year.

The rest he put in the middle and said they will be "beating up on each other during the conference season, but THERE WILL BE FOUR AT LARGE BIDS OUT OF THIS GROUP!

4 bids for 6 mediocre teams. Sheesh.

Steve Lavin says the Big 10 will have SIX TEAMS recieving bids to the tournament.

After several years of this I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Iowa has always been a good team at home. I was thinking the same as you until they beat MSU at home.

I was very impressed with Iowa's win over MSU. They looked very good and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top 5.

Steve Lavin is one of my favorite basketball commentators. I think he does a great job.
