MSU deserved to win this game. Hightower was a moron, but he wasn't shooting the FT's. How many FTA did they get again? 35? Anyways, if you can shoot 60% on contested shots you deserve to win.

I'm just going off of what our commentator said. I don't have ESPNU (anymore:banghead: ), so I didn't watch it. He said that the Shockers were playing pretty good defense most of the game, but SWOMO just kept hitting.

Well I don't know what he was watching but When Ahearn is getting at least 4 wide open looks something is wrong. The Laurie(sp?) kid did not have anybody within 5 feet of him at least twice. Any time you give up 95 points your d was not real good.

MSU did hit some tough shots don't get me wrong. but overall the WSU was bad.

And all this time I thought you actually had to see the game to call it. It wasn't like MSU was shooting "shootaround" 3's all night, but it seemed like the ball was half-way to the basket when a Shocker defender finally got a hand in the shooter's face.

When the Shox actually got on a potential 3-shooter, MSU was dribble-penetrating past the Shox defender.

I've seen quite a few WSU games this year. Shox just flat looked slower than most games I've seen.

MSU played a very good game. The same can't be said for my Shockers. I think MT's comments were dead on the mark. He needs to light a fire under the players and I hope his comments do the job.

Sorry to break in on the argument, but I'm laughing as I learn something about the history of those schools. At least Indiana State has always been Indiana State, although in the early years it was Indiana State Normal School and Indiana State Teachers College then Indiana State College.

No reason for a MSU fan to talk smack, especially after the way WSU has owned them.

Bottom line: MSU doesn't win the game today unless playing at their absolute best, and that is a little scary.

WSU switches to another gear on the road, and really has a lot of guts.

I'd take Brauer and Cooz on my team any day of the week. WSU is going to be just as good next year, if not better.

Good showing by your fans as well WSU.

Instead of starting another thread and cluttering up thread-space, I figured I would bring this thread back to life and post an observation.

If you are watching ESPN, look at the ticker on the bottom. When it gets to the Bradley/SMS game, it says Bradley vs. SW MOST. Perhaps some Bear fans should start complaining to ESPN instead of us ValleyTalkers.:grin:
