...get after it on the boards OR on the defensive end.

No offense to the Shox and Dawgs, but in each game against the Cats this year, it appeared as if too many veteran players hung it up after their shot didn't fall.

Can it be the case that some returning starters have taken too much for granted?

Some fans out there have to be posing the question to some players; "Any plans of getting after it?"

Perhaps some veteran players have begun to focus on their scoring numbers.

Posturing for points happens in the bigs all the time. And it makes for one boring brand of basketball.

In hopes that some of these guys get off the bus next time.

with the way our O is.... for our players not to shoot is like putting a drunk in a bar with the key to the liquor cabinet... it isnt going to happen... some players will be more selective but they will try to help in other areas to help the team win...I dont think for a second that our players gave up... but maybe you are not giving your team any credit by playing some tough D

So instead of thinking about what the other team is doing maybe you should try praising your team players and their coach and how they have played D and some good O

I kind of agree with siudog. I think the UNI fans just need to worry about ourselves and how we can get better. One of these games, and who knows it could be our next game with Ill. St., a team will figure out how to beat us and then it will be other posters telling us whats wrong with UNI. No disrespect kabullseye, I just think that what goes around comes around and I don't want us UNI fans looking like *******s. With that said, GOOOOOO Panthers!!:panthers:

I think that it is more of UNI just playing good basketball. You and MSU are playing the best basketball in the valley right now. Enjoy it because next week it might be WSU and SIU that are playing the best basketball or WSU and CU or SIU and CU. You just never know. I love this league. :valley: :valley:

When I look at SIU's schedule I feel that way sometimes.

Yeah, then I look at the upcoming schedule and I feel slightly better:

at Indy St
Evansville
CU
at Ill St
at BU
Drake
at Evansville

While this will be tough, it is nothing like:

UNI
at SIU
BU
at MSU

I absolutely agree with your assessment, I don't know how many times I'm muttering under my breath "Follow your f-ing shot!" or "crash the board!!!!" of course when the players do it right the Shocks are pretty impressive. I honestly feel sorry for the coaching staff as they try to chart a course in this apparent endless storm.

Go Shocks!!!!
