What is this...5 in a row?!?!?!
Damn....Barry sucks but he has never lost complete control of his team like this before.
Im glad im not the WSU president who agreed to pay that guy 3/4 of a million dollars.
Barry only makes 150 and he has never had a losing streak like this.
Just something to think about...

Be happy that you have a guy that can at least coach in the valley. We have a guy that has NO idea what in the hell he's doing out there.. When the Aces come to your place just watch Merf. and how he coaches. He's a joke..

acedads philosophy is to keep the program in mediocrity. That was untalented kids can play d-1 basketball. Well, sort of d-1 basketball.
Evansville never wins and that is okay with acedad. Its not about wins and losses its about putting on the purple jersey and playing hard for the first 2 minutes of the ball game.

I know that there are many quiet aces fans that are tired of this mediocrity here in Evansville and want to see a change. It's been six years and it's not working.. Time to get rid of Merfeld.

If Hinson is only making $150K and MSU wins a Tourney game - start looking for a new coach.
Maybe Hinson has never lost as many games in a short stretch as Turgeon has, but Hinson has never had a stretch of games against as many quality opponents as WSU just had.
You've got to have teams on the schedule who are good enough to beat you to lose a bunch of games. The Selection Committee has repeatedly shown a lack of respect for Hinson's scheduling.
When you have a lot of good teams on the schedule, sometimes those good teams beat you.

It's OK, go...if I'd have watched my team go from being ranked in the top 10 to losing five of six and falling out of the national consciousness, I'd be bitter too. Then again, if they'd quit scheduling the dregs and schedule more teams like MSU, they'd have a better SOS. That always helps.

Go, as usual, you screwed-up my philosophy:
Put on the purple.
Play hard for 40 minutes and compete.
If you win, you win. If you lose, you get ready for the next battle. Kind of like life.

Bradley started the year at 2-4 and look where they went. Way too early for any crap-o-la. If anything the Shox record justifies where this league really is. I'm sure the Peacock In Heat will hatch an egg and the Shox will get back on track. Soon.

It's interesting that a MSU fan starts a "fire Turgeon" thread.
Only one win for MSU against Turgeon in something like 4 years is a great reason to want that team's coach gone.
Oh, wait! Some of those WSU wins were against Soutwest Missouri State. I forgot that we have to start over when the name changed.
I think I've figured out why go rides a bicycle. You've got to pass that silly written test to drive a car.

actually go owns a car, actually from what I remember he owns a truck, dodge dakota isn't it go? For all the crap he gives everyone about our cars, you'd think go wouldn't own a car, and that if he did actually own one and chose not to drive it very often, it would be a hybrid or something....nooooo though, its a useless gas guzzling truck...in some parts of the world that is called a hypocrit, but I don't want to call anyone names.

do you know how much oil is used to produce a new auto?
All that material needs to be mined, hauled and manufactured. All those union workers driving to work etc.
Im sure there is practically as much fossil fuels used in the manufacturing and distribution of a new auto as that auto will burn itself in a lifetime.
Its far better to keep driving my 20 mpg dakota every couple of months.

Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame
Do you know gosmsgo? Do you know for a fact that he doesn't have a need for a truck on an occasional basis? Maybe he owned the truck before he decided upon his current convictions, and now the best option is to keep it and use it sparingly. The one thing you do know is that he normally rides his bike instead of driving. I'm far from a environmentalist, but I can respect someone who rides a bike for good reasons.
For someone always trying to be logical, dang, you must be having an off day dawgie.

I rode 20 miles to a friends house and back last night in the dark.
There is nothing better than riding on a county highway at night with few cars and just silence.
Just your breathing, the tires rolling on the pavement, a little wind and thats it.
You experience the dark the weather everything. When your in a car its like your watching a tv show. Its hard to explain unless you have ever cycle commuted.
It reallt is the best way to travel. I really feel sorry for some of you guys riding around in your cage. Most of you will never give cycling a fair shake. I have driven thousands of miles in a car and I can tell you that I wish I had those hours of my life back.

There is a long way to go, and I've just killed a lot of crows sitting on my fence, gutted and stored them. I'm taking pre-orders at this time at discounted prices. Once we're nearing the MVC tournament, I'm going to have to raise prices to meet the demand.

Anyone who thinks they have a handle on this league race after four games is walking around blind without a cane.
There's a lot of games to play and nobody, nobody, nobody can be counted out at this point, and nobody, nobody, nobody can be assume they are going to be in good shape at this point.

Actually Barry only makes $128,520 base + $60,000 in radio and tv money. MSU is getting a steal and has been for many years. $128,000 doesn't buy NCAA tournament appearances and when we do get there we will have gotten more than we paid for. Hopefully Nietzel will stand up to the gender equity folks and pay our men's coach at the market rate. MSU has got some great coaches on crappy salaries like Hinson, Guttin, Boyce, Steck, Leamy, etc.. Problem is they are men and men don't get raises at MSU.
