Northern Iowa 231

The question is how many of the 2,450 will be available for a low, low price on Friday night.

My guess is very few. Unlike some other teams, there is and has always been a great following for Shocker basketball in this town. The Shox were 2-2 at this point last season. The only Valley game they have lost that I thought they would win is the UNI game at the Koch. The Shox played 3 of the the top teams in the the conference (if not THE top three teams in the Valley). The next seven games will tell us alot about the Shox as they play six of the next seven against teams picked in the bottom half. It is still early.

What is wrong with the Indy St fans? do you guys not know you are tied for first in the conference? Lets pick it up guys.....

Missouri State 658

Ditto Bears fans. I wonder if last night's domination will cause a bump in tickets sold in the Springfield area?

If we can all remember a few years back, ok 5 or 6 years, the Sycamores had great numbers in St. Louis. My guess is that if the Sycamores keep winning, the fans will show. Even then I think most just tried to buy at the door. I don't know how many know how much it has changed. I still go every year!

Wow - that is a HUGE number of tickets sold by WSU. Even though I don't like 'em, you have to be impressed by that.

Those numbers look pretty much what I would expect them to look like in terms of most tickets sold. SIU usually has many fans that do not buy the entire package since many live so close to STL.

I called the MSU ticket office last week and they said they still had them and they would still have them till February. I was under the impression that you could still buy them from your home box office. Guess MSU's ticket office is wrong again.

I believe you can do that. You just don't get the pre january discount

So it is 90 not 75??

I'm not sure. I don't buy them as I roll with the students

Right--they were $75 before January 1, and $90 after.

I think it is kind of interesting that the two schools that are furthest away from St. Louis have sold the most tickets.

It probably doesn't help our case to get the tourney moved to Kansas City (at least occasionally).

It will probably be the best attended Thursday night ever!!!!

Great for the MVC to see this. While every game won't be well attended, a lot will!

Add at least three to the MSU total. I bought them yesterday, a week too late to get the discount. We typically don't buy all-session tickets, we just get tickets at the door. Unfortunately with the booming attendence, you probably get stuck in the upper level if you don't buy from your school's allotment. That, and the fact that I hate having to sit in the middle of a bunch of some other school's fans.

I think the majority of Bears fans at the tourney just drive up and buy tickets at the door. Makes for a difficult time telling how many are there, as we're always scattered around the arena. By all accounts there were something like 1,500 to 2,000 Bear fans at the game against SLU last month, so hopefully Arch Madness will be well attended by MSU fans this year.

add 20 for me, my bachelor party is that weekend, we are getting a sky box tho, not sure how that works towards the totals.

Student attendance was outstanding for us last year too, for our one game against UNI. Wasn't so hot the year before, though.

Dawgie -

How does one go about getting a skybox for the tourney?

I have no idea, my best friend and my brother are handling it....they said its all good, I'll take their word for it. I just know I get to sit in a cushy sky box, drink lots of beer, and watch valley basketball at its finest, and don't have to spend a dime, because the party is paying for it....and then later go look at naked women....gonna be fun. Anyone want to come lol.

I think part of the reason that WSU and Creighton's sales are so much higher is actually due to their distance from St. Louis. Being where they are, fans from these schools pretty much blow the weekend with travelling anyway, so they might as well buy all-session passes. Whereas teams like SIU and MSU are closer, so their fans can wait to see when there team is playing and drive over that day to catch the game.

Still impressive numbers though.

I'm impressed that Drake paid for 100 all session tickets.
