DOH! We still have to Bradley before CU comes to town. We might want to focus on the 3 pt. shooting ninja's there at BU. If they are hot, I don't care where the game is, they could run us out of the gym. Do not tempt Karma, one game at a time ladies and gents.

That would mean CU would actually have to beat SIU, which we all know doesn't happen, at least not with C-Lo behind the bench. Now @MSU that is a different story.

Here we go on the karma kick again ... :ranting:
I've had my sig in place for a year now and it doesn't seem to have hurt SIU's performance very much. If that's not an invitation for bad karma, I don't know what is. Wait, it's called just stating fact.

Yeah, we will be watching out for Karma (as it gets stomped flat on Saturday in the SIU Arena. Some pretty daunting SIU Arena statistics facing CU..........they have got to be getting a little edgy about this one.
As I said at the start of this post..........A 'Perfect Storm' brewing in Carbondale this Saturday. It's going to be a dandy----I have my tickets, do you have yours?

CU will have to at least try to match SIU physically. If they do that instead of complaining, they might just have a shot, especially if Tatum is still hurt.

If we win can I rush the court? On a serious note, here is my goal. At some point I want to go over to the SIU student section and wearing CU blue have my picture taken with all of the students yelling at me behind me. It could be a great picture. So when you see some loser in blue making his way to the student section help me out.

my advice is to go on saluki talk and give them a)advance warning you want to do this, b) establish a contact in the Dawg pound who will know you are from VT. c) make sure no one will kill you.

not sure about salukibob, but I can't, that and I'm not a student anymore, graduated in 2002.
Horrible story....lol....I'm getting married this may, so of course the only day the cake lady is doing taste testing for the all of wedding parties this summer is saturday night, doh!
Now usuaslly, I would say screw it, I'm going to the game, but do you want to be the one to tell my fiance', "hunny I can't make a decision on our wedding today, there is a basketball game, I'm sorry this is the only day she can meet, tell her to surprise us." Any takers, I will pay handsomely.
Of course If she goes to taste cake, that means I have to go, don't ask me why.......grrrrrrrr.
Thank goodness I have Tivo. So we surrendered our season tix to a couple of friends. It was a painful experience.

Cake tasting? Are you freaking serious? Dude, the cake doesn't matter! Tell her to get the cake she wants.
I know that sometimes you have to do these stupid things, but if you're locked into cake tasting, you probably have to help pick out flowers and shoes too!
All I can say is man up, draw the line in the sand and go to the game. If you can't get out of cake tasting, it's going to be a long, rocky marriage.

I was gonna say, if you'd like to stare into her eyes and tell her that....go right ahead.
She looks at it like this, there 10-12 home games every year, and at least 1 creighton home game every year, etc. etc. etc.
She looks at as you only get married once (hopefully), you're butt better be there. I don't have much ground to stand on. That and I'm a big wimp too, and I'd prefer not to sleep on the couch and get laid some time in the next century, lol.

I've been married for 14 years. My negotiating skills are finely honed. We fight over nothing. My friends are utterly amazed at my ability to go wherever I want to go without so much as a raised eyebrow. Don't get me wrong, I go to her important stuff, I will even go shopping with her. I spend alot more time with the kids than most dads, help clean the house, do laundry and cook. But at the same time, she understands that I have my things. She also knows that I don't give a rats arse about what kind of cake will be served.
Here is a list of the things and people I met with for our wedding:
Caterer
Church
Tuxedo
Wedding party gifts
Very limited input into bridesmaid dresses
Limousine
Invitations
Photographer
Hired the band
The rest, including selecting the cake, was left upto her. The decisions meant more to her anyway, so whatever she wanted I was good with. I would only give input when asked and I was not dragged to the florist or the cake store. By the way, I got married at 5:00 PM on a Friday. That was after I played golf with all my buddies!

I was in a wedding for my buddy in chicago a couple years ago, and we went golfing before the wedding too....the bride was a little mad tho, we all came back beat red with sun burns. It was very humorous.

Hey my wife enjoys when the Salukis play, If I cannot make the game she lets me be on the computer listening to the game... she evens comes up and ask how they are doing... Then if the game is on t.v. and she is not working the 12 hour shift as a nurse, she comes and watches the game with me and the 2 kids... and when I can see them live she comes along with my 2 kids to watch the game.... She even drove down with me 2 years ago to do the 12 hour round trip on a Sunday to watch the Salukis win...
She figures it is better for me to watch the Salukis than to go out and carouse (sp) everynight.... She got married to one dedicated Saluki...

You and I are quite similar. It's amazing how smoothly a marriage will go if you pick up a little housework. In the words of my wife, "housework is foreplay."
I was very involved in my wedding. I called the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas, told the gal the date and the package we wanted, gave her a credit card number and was done in 20 minutes.
