Another MVC victim wins their tournament: Kent St

Kent State (25-8) wins the MAC Reg season and now the tourney. SIU beat Kent State, along with OVC double champ Murray State (24-6). Again, their "bad" loss to NEC Champ Monmouth doesn't look quite as bad now either.

With UNI beating Bucknell (26-4), the Patriot double champ, and MSU beating Wisc-Milwaukee (21-8), the Horizon double champ, the RPI for the big 6 in the MVC continues to climb.

Northwestern State (24-7), who plays for the Southland Conf championship on Sunday was a victim of Wichita St earlier this season. Now there is a team that deserves a look from the committee.....They won't get it if they stumble...but their non-conf SOS is incredible: @Missouri, @Mississippi St., @Wichita St., @Oklahoma St., @Oregon St., Iowa St., @Hawaii, @Texas A&M.....and they were 15-1 in their conference.....WOW....

A10 champ Xavier was a CU victim when their whole team was healthy {although played in Omaha}.

About the only thing to wrong Valleywise is that former Shocker victim Delaware State lost in the finals of their tourney today.

I don't see why it is so hard for so many to understand that all these oddities have contributed to strong rpis for the Valley and it is a little unusual. Not to diminish the accomplishments of any Valley team, just a point.
