Obviously SIU fans and Creighton fans need not answer
I was curious who everybody else wanted to win
SIU has by far the tougher remaining schedule in the last 3. I could see them with the possibility of 2 more losses.
CU- If they win it's probably over. 2 home games and at IL State. I think they could maybe falter once but twice is highly unlikely
Thought ?

Can I play? I also think SIU has a tough finish. Especially at MSU on senior night. CU showed against Evansville the other night, however, that they are capable of falling asleep and dropping a game. IMO, if (and I know it is not likely) CU pulls one out in Carbondale, its over. If SIU wins, CU still has a good chance of tying for the crown (of course giving SIU No. 1 seed in St. Louis).

I'm rooting for the outcome that puts CU opposite from UNI in the bracket. But since UNI might be playing on Thursday, that is hard to figure now.
Looking forward to watching the battle.

I'm not going to root for anybody....but, Creighton probably needs this win more to cement their tourney status.

There won't be enough bench players if this happens. Maybe they'll have to play horse to determine the winner after everyone fouls out.

Can both teams lose....? Or maybe tie? :naughty:
First off I can't root for Creighton to win at anything...I don't think it's physically possible for me to.
Honestly, I'll be rooting for SIU, for the simple fact I'm tired of hearing ALL fans complain about SIU's style of Defense...It wins games and if you want to beat them, find a way to beat their "D" and stop bit@#ing!

I'm rooting for SIU because I think BU is heading for the 4/5 game in St. Louis, and I think Bradley matches up much better against SIU as opposed to Creighton.

Actually, Drake has the lucky draw of coming to Springtown on Senior Night.
I'll be rooting for SIU.

If SIU wins, it will be like they are 2 games up on CU instead of 1 because of the tie breaker. I think SIU will have the 1st seed wrapped up for the most part with this victory.

I won't be rooting for either team. But I suppose that I would rather see CU win this game. They need it more to bolster their at-large resume. I just want to see the MVC get the maximum number of bids.

I kind of like this idea. How about for this Saturday only, the teams play horse instead? I have a lot of faith that our team is a much better shooting squad.
I suppose SIU would rather have a contest to see who tackles better...

Plus you can look at it this way, if CU losses, and loses a few more after that, they might keep their NIT streak alive!

I'm rooting for quintuple overtime.
And a plethora of sprains, contusions, and nagging minor injuries that will miraculously heal en masse on the morning of March 5.

For me it's a toss up on who I root for. Part of me says I want SIU to win so they stay ranked when they come to Springfield. Part of me says I want CU to win because they swept us, and we have absolutely no shot at passing them in the standings. I say..........
:jays:
Meanwhile, an important game for teams 3-6 is going to be going on in Cedar Falls. If the Bears win they'll have a virtual stranglehold on the #3 spot, and UNI will have a stranglehold on the 6. If UNI wins......the picture becomes very muddy.

I want CU to win. I want them on the other side of the bracket come March and since we most likely will be the 3rd seed, I want them to take the number 1 seed.
