Its kind of funny seeing the Big Ten commissioner going on the offensive towards the SEC, and seeing the SEC fire back.

Although I am sure Doug Elgin would never go to reactionary measures such as these when a reporter questions academic standards and talent pools. Articles like this make me feel like the Valley has been steadily closing the gap and now the BCS schools are starting to feel the heat/pressure.

I'm not sure how the Valley is making the Big11Ten feel uneasy about its place on the college football landscape... since, ya know, the article only refers to football, and not to any other sport... and the article it refers to was also wholly focused on football... but hey, more power to us, I guess.

My point was more along the lines that even in the BCS, there is plenty of condecension among themselves. It really doesnt have to do with Basketball, but i just see a change in the college "system" (Aka the BCS)that is in the works. And it isnt only in basketball, its in football as well. In basketball, the BCS schools do whatever they can do to keep the mid major schools down and make sure there are more BCS schools in the tournament for exposure. In football, the BCS wants all of the bowl game and no playoffs.

Yeah, its slow, Im drawing weak connections, and I am looking for conversation.
