View Full Version : Turg is the best
After all of the arguing that he is a better coach than Altman - I will agree that he has added something to his belt that Altman hasn't done in 10 years - that's finish lower than 4th in the Valley. Barring WSU winning in St. Louis (which appears highly unlikely as they seem to have quit), that's what, 1 NCAA in 7 years?
Definately best coach in the Valley!! :lol:

He should of left for greener pastures last year.
Barry has offically flushed the turg this year.

Now, a CU fan talks smack after last night's debacle. WSU definitely has looked horrid lately, but CU hasn't?
I don't get it.
Its called a trash talk board - and last time I checked, CU is still in 2nd place in the Valley with the 2nd highest RPI in the Valley (about 48 spots ahead of Turg and WSU)!
Also, losing at Ill. State on senior night is hardly a debacle (although giving up a 10 point half-time lead is pathetic)- they have beaten CU, Drake, UNI, and WSU at home.
If I recall, WSU couldn't beat UNI at home.

True that it's a trash talk forum. I just thought the timing was interesting. CU loses two in a row, after blowing big leads, and the Turg Sucks threads start piling in from a CU fan. Just ironic, that's all.
Oh ya and SCOREBOARD! :innocent:

Turg has won as many NCAA games in his 7 years as Altman has in 13.
Turg has won as many outright MVC championships in his 7 years as Altman has in 13.

An oldie, but a goodie, describes go making up a story:
Sitting on this barstool talking like a damn fool
Got the twelve oclock news blues
And Ive given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder Im not crazy? is it any wonder Im sane at all
Well Im so tired of losing- I got nothing to do and all day to do it
I go out cruisin but Ive no place to go and all night to get there
Is it any wonder Im not a criminal?
Is it any wonder Im not in jail?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away with my sanity
Ive got too much time on my hands, its hard to believe such a calamity
Ive got too much time on my hands and its ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Well, Im a jet fuel genius - I can solve the worlds problems
Without even trying
I have dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as Im buying
Is it any wonder Im not the president
(hes not the president)
Is it any wonder Im null and void?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away at my sanity
Ive got too much time on my hands, its hard to believe such a calamity
Ive got too much time on my hands and its ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands

I guess if you are just interested in being a one-hit wonder, then your point is a good one. Anyone heard how UW-Milwaukee is doing lately?
Unless WSU makes the NCAA's and CU doesn't this year, Turg will have failed to make the NCAA tournament as many times in his 7 seasons as Altman has in his 13 seasons.
Altman lost as many games in St. Louis in his first 12 years as Turgeon did in his first 6 years.
Shall I continue?

And Altman has never made it past the 2nd round in the NCAA in his 13 years.
I am looking forward to comparing the # of NCAA wins and MVC championships in their respective first 10, 12, 13, 15 years.

As disgusting as it may be, we could settle this stupid debate once and for all, if we just saw who has the biggest Johnson. Problem is, Royce would probably win.

Will the Peacock resign too? That's a lot of money to get and then say, "I don't know what to do." Right?

I hate to add to the conspiracy theories, but are Mc Bulldog and Cold the same people? The banter they spew is eerily similar to what Raspy did.
I know I have joked about having a proxy server, but Cold brags about it!!! I don't know what a proxy server is, Cold can write manuals on how to use them. For God's sake, Cold could be 75-80% of all posters on this site!
Cold = Mc Bulldog
Cold = DU Bulldog
Cold = WSUbballer

This site is hilarious. Yes, you learn nothing about basketball or sports in general, but it gets an A+ from me in the laughs department. :grin:
For the record, Blueblood and Rasputin are seasoned vet posters over on the BJ Cafe, so I highly doubt they are the same person.
Maybe that's Cold's board as well. Strange this internet thing. Very, very strange.

I still think Turg is a quality coach who can get things back on track. I'd like to know if any WSU fans are a little concerned though that in two of the last three years ('04-'05 and '06-'07) team chemistry seems to have been an issue.
