Here is a link to the article. I think I can post the link just not the whole article right?
I am not surprised none of the schools had penalties as we all seem to be decent on the academic area.
However, I did notice Hampton was on there, but with the few mishaps by Merfeld already I don't see the school letting the academics slide if he is around next.

That entire system is a joke. The max penalty is 10%. That's 1 scholarship for men's basketball and baseball, and there is no bonus for schools that are doing things the right way.
I simply can't wait to see how KU manages to get out of their sanctions.
Didn't see many BCS schools there did you? Hmmm...intriguing.

I agree a joke so the NCAA can say they are doing something about academics. The NCAA doesn't care about athletes. In a lot of cases scholorshiped athletes are worse off then normal students. Go to class, go to practice, go to games, and oh yeah your schlorship is limited to covering tuition and fees, room and board and required books. So i hope you don't have incidental costs. You can get a job but no more than 10 hours a week and hopefully your job works around your schedule. BTW if you accept a gift you may have screwed your institution for the next couple years. Thanks for playing!

Probably because, like KU did for football and baseball, they all filed appeals.
The question is, will the NCAA give in during the appeal process?

Of course it all depends on how much leverage a school has with the NCAA.
In the case of the BCS schools, they can get away with a lot of things that are questionable that smaller schools can not get away with.
