I'm pretty sure someone posted this month's ago, but can anyone please let me know what our records are against the so called major conferences? I'm pretty sure we're 5-0 against the Big East, etc...

Thanks!

15-10

Take a look at the last post in Valley Victims thread to see the actual teams beaten.

~EDIT~ Im not sure where I screwed up but one part says 15-12 and one part says 15-10. I think the latter is correct.

Listed are those teams conference records. Overall they were 178-210 in conference, so while our record is > .500 against these teams, we are playing on average sub-par competition from those leagues.

Teams with a * are 'in' on the latest breacketology. So we were 3-5 against likely tourney teams/games from the big six. So our 15 wins are not really that great considering only 3 are against tourney quality teams from those conferences, we mostly play the middle of the road or lower quality teams in the non-conference schedule. Not that its our fault, but these numbers can be and are misleading.

didn't double check the numbers, so.........

Using your numbers, that means the Valley teams did slightly better against these teams than the rest of their respective conferences have done against them.

Our record against them: 15-12= .556

The rest of their conferences record against them: 210-178= .541

Those big 6 conferences are sending a minimum of 4 teams each to the dance. It looks like maybe we should be too.
