Well, I planned on stopping by more than Ive been able to. Looks like another great year for your conference. The Big East has been way down from last year, but kinda to be expected after the murderer's row of teams we had.
UConn may be NIT bound, hard to imagine after they put 5 in the NBA draft last year.

I dont see a deep run by anyone in the Big East really. Teams like Pitt are OK, but against the wrong style they get spanked. Georgetown is the same. Conference play has been bloody as usual, my Cards have done well.

Speaking of my Cards, looks like our guys are finally gelling. Two months ago I was wondering if we'd make the NIT. Looks like we could be a 4-5 seed or even higher if we do well in the Big East tourney. Funny how it goes sometimes. We have a frosh named Caracter, he was arguably the best center with Oden at one point in HS. He got bad advice and believed his own hype. Pitino made him lose 60 lbs and suspended him most of the year, he's just now playing. Having him as a backup has made all the difference. We're playing 10 guys now and they are having a ball after a rough start. Hard to find anyone playing better right now, but being led by freshmen is not good in the tourney. We'll see.

Just wanted to stop by and offer my congrats on a great regular season, from one bball junky to a bunch of junkies. Cant wait till selection Sunday!

Not sure if you caught this thread (http://www.valleytalk.net/showthread.php?t=3910), but it's got a few Louisville guys on there for the Valley's all time top 50 list.

Georgetown will definitely make a run. They're a disciplined team that is hard to match up with. Hibbert is 7'2" and they have other talented big guys. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Final 4.

Alphacard- Any thoughts on Chad Millard who is redshirting after transferring to Creighton to louisville?

I really hated to see Chad transfer and was a little shocked actually. I liked how he played but he kinda got a rep, not deserved, for playing soft. He was thrust into a Louisville lineup as a freshman and faced the UConns of the world in the Big East. Last year I dont know of many players that could do that. He was hurt in practice early in the year, he had his four front teeth shoved up into his head. Was gruesome according to those who saw it, hard to even think about. He played for two weeks afterwards on a soft diet only, lost about 20 lbs and never really recovered as you can well imagine. But he tried with all his heart. He's a heady player, not prone to mistakes. Not overly quick by any means, but adequate speed. Shoots the three very well from the wing. Decent ball handler, was beat on defense a lot, especially more physical types, but it was to be expected after what he went through. I liked him, saw a ton of potential. I suspect he saw our incoming class and wondered if he would get minutes. Probably legitimate despite his experience. Going to the NIT was not a big hit with Pitino, he's prone to be tough when he's losing so that prolly played into it too.

Georgetown is definitely a force, in the right circumstances against the right team. It was the only loss for us that I thought we were beat by a superior team, didint matter what night we played them. But Syracuse sure made them look bad, so in my mind the jury is still out. If they win the BE tourney in convincing fashion, then Im on board. I hope we get them again, would like to see how we match up now.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out.
