You can find audio on the aces athletics web site.
I just got done listening to murf on the evansville internet radio broadcast. The broadcast seems pretty good. I did chuckle when the commentator said they'd talk to him soon about tomorrow's opponent SIU. I guess that is confidence for ya ...

Why doesn't the winner play the second day game tomorrow rather than the first?

Al Stewart gets his first 3 of the season right before half. If that kind of shooting holds up, Drake should be in good shape in the second half. It's still scary that Drake could be about 10-14 on 3's, and only be up 4 at half.

03-01-2007, 07:16 PM
Wow! What a first half. Shooting Percentages are through the roof. Drake banked in their last three. I believe, that's 10-13 for three or something.
Evansville would like to slow the pace. We're lucky to be within 4 after the way Drake shot.
Webster 10 points
Holsinger 14 pts, I think.

That's about right. That, and to give the winner max rest time before the next day's game. That's the reward of being 1st.

The DU-SIU game could be higher scoring than you think. SIU won the last game 72-62 in Carbondale, and that's pretty high-scoring for them. DU seemed to play best against SIU when they played uptempo. We'll see how much DU has left.

Mefeld may not of missed them but he gave the guys two days off before the tournament to get rested. They need rest at this point in the season?? They should of been shooting free-throws if nothing else for an hour each of those days off.

I don't think giving them 2 days off is a bad idea....this point in the season is EXACTLY when they are going to need it, especially with the chance at 4 games in 4 days. By the time a kid's a senior in college, taking a couple of days off should not affect your free throw shooting. I feel bad for Webster on those misses, but I really don't think you can pin that on Merfeld.
