I was pleased to see Indiana St. win this game I definitely think Ill. St would have been a tougher game. I just can't see the Jays dropping this game to the Sycamores, but with how crazy the Valley has been this season you never know. So lets get it done tomorrow Jays.

One thing is for sure - the Trees will not come into the game intimidated by the Jays. We've beaten them once this year. I figure it'll all come down to our legs - if they hold up, it could be a good game. If we're too tired, we'll lose it in the last 10 minutes.
Remember a few years back, we won a really close play-in game against UNI, then took Top 20 Creighton to the last play, even had a shot to win the game in the final seconds, before dropping a 57-56 game.
I think it'll be a good game. No easy ones from here on out for anyone!!!

Creighton looks like a lock against the Trees on paper. But you never know what the players will do for a lameduck coach. Expect more Valley tourney excitement tomorrow! :bounceblue:

It doesn't actually seem like anyone with the ball actually knows what to do with it, so they just throw it in a direction, any direction will do apparently.

Royce has looked very sad. I feel bad for him -- not saying he deserves to stay or anything, but its still a shame. Seem like a gentleman.

Any Doubters out there as to why the Sycamores are going in a new direction? The only questions left to be answered are why it took so long to head a new direction and who will the next coach be?

As a Jays fan, this one kind of went as expected although I wouldn''t have predicted that margin.
Good luck to Royce on whatever his next destination might be. Any favorites for his position at this point and guesses when it might be filled?

I know some of you Trees fans may think differently at this point, but I have always respected Royce Waltman and thought he has done more with less talent than any other coach in the league these last 5 years or so. I wish him the best of luck in retirement or his next coaching endeavor.

One of the big questions with Waltman is "why did he have to do more with less talent year after year after year"? Isn't recruiting part of the head coaches responsibility? I won't argue that he can't coach, but the last five years have been like a golfer who can't putt in one round, can't drive in his next round and can't chip in the next one. He didn't put it together for even one solid season during that time. Time to move on.................
