Well, Bears fans, NIT tickets go on sale in eight days. Get in line now. In two hours, Mr. NIT and the clan get into the tourney as the third team, and then they play themselves right now. At no time did Hinson show anything resembling a "game plan". Creighton threw the 1-2-2 press out there, and the Bears looked at it the way a puppy looks at a squeaky toy for the first time. The seniors were uniformly awful. Ahearn cemented his legacy as a great practice player. Comparing Funk and Ahearn really told you the story...Funk wanted the ball and knew he was going to score, and Blake only wanted the ball in the early going and completely disappeared in the second half.

Just a pitiful performance all around. But it's just telling that when the semifinal coaches are Les, Altman, Lowrey, and Bozo, the one who's going to no-show the game.

If i were you, i wouldnt just jump to the conclusion that they are NIT bound. They might be, But they still have a fairly good rpi, finished at 12-6 in the conference, won their first game in the tourney, etc. They can still be legit for an at large seed in the NCAA.

What killed you last year was getting beat on Friday. It came down to UNI and MSU and UNI had the win. Thats it. You guys are IN...
