Should be the best game of the day. UNI won at Hammons and MoState won at the Dome. I think both teams should be in but this could be an elimination game for the NCAA.

UNI- 67
MoState- 73

I agree that SWOMO wins this game. They're playing great basketball right now. You can't count UNI out, but the Bears are one of two teams that would scare me in STL. WSU could be beat by others as the Lou will be tough, but most don't scare me.

I like UNI in this one. They are to good of team to end the season losing in the quarters of The Valley tourney!

UNI will have their legs back under them after a week off. This team is out to prove that you have not seen the real UNI the past 2 weeks.

Missouri St. had to play the perfect game to beat them in the Dome, it won't happen again.

I would have said the same thing about UNI last year JT. And the way the Bears are playing as of late.... Should be a good game

I think the Bears win this game. UNI is really struggling down the stretch and MSU is playing their best ball of the season. And, Barry always tends to have his boys ready for the 'Lou.

It will be a war. MSU has been playing great. I don't know which UNI team will show up. The team that beat Iowa and LSU or the team that lost their last 4 Valley games. I hope and pray that it is the Iowa and LSU team. My prediction is UNI by 2. Your guy's thoughts?

I'll go with Berruh in a close one. UNI will be under too much pressure to pull this one out and will continue their slide.

Of course I'm going with the Bears, but it should be one of the best college basketball games of the year...
I dont do preditcions.

I'm going with Mo State. Now IF UNI can win that game and regain some swagger they should be tough for anyone to play, but I think they are slumping at the absolute wrong time.

Im gonna go with UNI 65-64

As much as I would like to see UNI face the Saluki's on Sat., I think we will be facing our long-time Tourney nemisis. I think the game will be won at the FT line with Misery State making more FT's in one game than SIU makes in a year. Berry is gonna pound the ball inside against the Panthers. Watch out for number ZERO. Bilyeau will not lay a goose egg in the score book.

I just hope the panthers can pull one off here, the Bears are hot, but UNI has finally gotten more than 2 days rest since December, and with a long strech of that having had all the starters logging around 38 minutes is a rough leg of the season. But the boys are having a tough time right now with 3 very close losses, one extremely close victory, and one butt kicking they are playing all over the place lately.

But with a week of prep, the "ranked team" target gone, and back to the underdog role this should be one heck of a great game.

GO PANTHERS!!!

I hope to see a rematch with SIU saturday, and CU on Sunday, but who knows this season is too close to call.

Da Bars are hot and the Panth's are not. Bears win and this may very well be the best game of the tourney, loads of fun!

Go Valley!!

Kind of like the good team that lost in the quarters of the tournament last year, huh? Hinson and his boys by 13. Book it!:D

Mizzou St. wins this one...Bears make the NCAA tournament and clamor to sign Berruh on for 5 more years...that is until next year when they are seething and calling for his head.

Despite Barry's comments about he thinks we should be in, I think the team knows how the past 2 years they finished strong only to lose the Championship game and get passed over for the 2 teams they beat. I think MSU will come out like they did at UNI with the switches on D, which UNI struggled with against MSU and BU. It could come down to which teams bigs don't get in foul trouble.

Gotta go with Da Bears on this one. UNI is just really slumping right now and hopefully a loss would not put them squarely on the tourney bubble. :(

UNI will pull this one out knowing that if they lose they may be NIT bound.

They shot a little better than their season average. I wouldn't say they didn't shoot so well.

UNI ends their mild slump...lost 4 out of 5...3 by a total of 5 points...one Win over top 25 Team Bucknell, not a huge slump...Great Game as Always..
UNI by 5 in the end...GO PANTHERS!

BearChief

Bears by 5, but I've been nervous since the pairing was set. Should be one heck of a game.

The one thing that concerns me is that Barry has been touting this as NOT a must win game. I sure hope his players haven't listened. I know he's doing it so they play loose, but they need to have some urgency.

I'm not buying the thought that UNI is "rested." Four months of basketball with a short bench can't be undone in a few days. If the Bears push the tempo successfully, the Panthers will wear down.

I don't blame most for picking the Bears in this one, but I really don't have an indication that the wheels have fallen of at UNI. I think the Panthers make this a statement game and win by 9.

Misouri State is good, UNI will be better. Cats by 8!

I liked (didn't like) the way they scrapped against the Jays.

I think Missouri State (formerly SOUTHWEST MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY) will win only if they can stop Coleman and Stout underneath.

UNI has a good shot if they pound it below like freezer burnt tenderloin.

I don't have any bloody idea who's going to win this one. MSU is on a roll and is playing a lot better than UNI right now, but this week may be the rest UNI needs. Since I have to pick something, I'll bet that UNI stays in their shooting slump and MSU wins by 8.

This is going to be an awesome game, and I'm leaning towards UNI pulling out a squeaker.

Panthers in a rout.

Really am looking forward to this game. Should be a no holds barred war. Winner would be a NCAA lock loser gets to sweat until selections are announced. Prediction: Mac has had time to regroup the panthers, panthers win the war 68 -63.

When UNI's back is against the wall, they usually come through. So I am gonna pick UNI to win this blood battle.

My gut instinct tells me that MSU wins comfortably. The corn-fed Iowans from Cedar Falls are simply running out of steam...

I predict the thunderous Barruh stomp will be heard from miles around.

It's a great day to have the Shockers carrying the Torch in one of the strongest seasons in MVC history!

"To do it in a year when they say it's the best league it's been in quite some time is even more special," Turgeon said. "The league didn't come back to us. We kept growing and growing and getting better."

barry always does a great job of causing trouble in the tournament after underacheiving all year.
how will barry do as a favorite?

Panthers in a rout.

Hey KaBullseye, can I get a clarification from you as to what your true feelings are? Will it be by 8? Or in a rout? Or do you consider 8 points a rout?

kabullseye

8 is a rout. How much did we beat Wichita State by? I mean the first time?

MikeKennedyRulz

Yeah, those two losses to a team in the bottom half of the league might come back to hurt as. Those could be seen as bad losses. I had never thought about it that way. Thanks for the insightful information.

joey has a good point, I was wondering how MSU will do when, at least according to the experts, they are a lock for the tourny. Usually they haveto win it to get in and come out playing hard. It will be intresting to see if they play like they have for the past couple of years when nothing appears to be on the line
