Using Bird-logic, I have to conclude that Creighton players quit on Dana Altman early in the season.

I don't know what you mean by "bird-logic"as I don't recall any Jay fan ever saying that any players "quit" on Turg, although I have read thse types of comments by WSU fans on Shockernet. That being said, I will definitely concede that there were chemistry issues early on for this year's CU team. The great thing about Altman is that, once again, he managed to get the team to play better as the year went on. I'd rather struggle in November and December than February and March.
You been very clear over the year I've been on this board that you don't like Altman. But you know what, I can't remember the last time Dana didn't take us to the postseason. Stop trying to cause problems.

The thread immediately below this one at the moment, which you are the last one to have posted in by the way, was started by a poster named "Bird". His first post talks about the WSU players appearing to have quit on Turg.

Would it have been too difficult for ISASO to just post his inane comments there instead of starting a new thread then? He was just trying to cause problems yet again and you know it.

I didn't think the mockery would be quite complete without starting a new thread, just as Bird did to spew his ignorant comments.
If it's true that WSU's players quit on their coaches at the end of the season, couldn't it be just as plausible that Creighton's players quit on their coaches at the start of the season?
Or maybe there were real reasons for both sets of problems. What a concept.
BTW, I do like Dana Altman, but that's not what you want to hear.

I think the Creighton players took time to gel and buy into Altman's system, that's not quitting. The Wichita State team bought into Turgeon's system from the time they went to Canada. I don't think they quit on the coach, with fatigue and injuries, they just quit on the year. Oh wait! This is the trash talk board, BOTH TEAMS ARE FULL OF QUITTERS!!!!! What a bunch of girls!!!
Me thinks I hit a sore spot for WSU fans.
As to CU, I don't see any 5 game losing streaks for Creighton - they fought through the adversity early in the season and came out 2nd in the Valley and are heading to the Dance while WSU watches from home. In fact, CU's longest losing streak of the year was 2, and the team came together after those 2 losses and strung 4 wins and a MVC title together. So, No, Creighton did not quit.
As to WSU quitting, seems some WSU fans share those feelings, and the problems were brewing even before the 5 game losing streak to end the year:
Maggie (WSU fan) on 2/7 - "Based upon what I have read and heard, I think Turgeon has pretty much lost this team."
WuDrWU (WSU fan) on 3/2 - "I am not happy with the way the season ended but I am proud of the effort given tonight that we haven't seen for a month or more."
pinstripers (WSU fan) on 3/2 - "Finally, we played hard. Damn."
Triggerdawg (WSU fan) on 2/25 - "I do think the players have given up this year but a good coach would have prevented this free fall."
ShockerPrez (WSU fan) on 2/16 - "If the margin is thin, and these are the reactions by the fans, I think it does point to lack of effort and desire and last year's team had the effort and desire and won the close ones."
HollywoodBrave on 2/24 - "I hate to say it but all year it seems like Wichita quit on Turgeon."
Cold (WSU fan) on 2/17 - "Mark has tried to motivate this group but they are internally defeated and have lost the will to fight. I have plenty of inside info to support this hypothesis."

Sitting on this barstool talking like a damn fool
Got the twelve oclock news blues
And Ive given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder Im not crazy? is it any wonder Im sane at all
Well Im so tired of losing- I got nothing to do and all day to do it
I go out cruisin but Ive no place to go and all night to get there
Is it any wonder Im not a criminal?
Is it any wonder Im not in jail?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away with my sanity
Ive got too much time on my hands, its hard to believe such a calamity
Ive got too much time on my hands and its ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Well, Im a jet fuel genius - I can solve the worlds problems
Without even trying
I have dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as Im buying
Is it any wonder Im not the president
(hes not the president)
Is it any wonder Im null and void?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away at my sanity
Ive got too much time on my hands, its hard to believe such a calamity
Ive got too much time on my hands and its ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Hey, slow day at work. :original:

Wichita got an award for having the fans that whined the most in St Louis this year. Next year MVC will have Scottrade well stocked with Cheese to go with the traditional Wichita State Whine. Congrats

Mike, you are quickly becoming my favorite poster to ever grace Valley Talk.
Mikehunt has to be using some mid-90's era Babelfish translator or something, because his grammar confusion is vintage, I tell ya. VINTAGE.

After the first post from Mike Hunt I suspected you a little bit(not a lot, only because everyone pointed the finger at you). But the second showed me that you would have to have an IQ drop of almost 80 points to qualify, so I am sure it is not you.
