There is also a blurb in the DSM paper about Vette and Printy, INSU recruits. It is in this link on the left hand side. -

Indiana State recruits wait for change
These are unsettling times for Greg Lansing, Clayton Vette and Jordan Printy.

All three spent Wednesday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena, talking about a future that became cloudy when Indiana State fired Royce Waltman as its head basketball coach earlier this month.

Lansing, a former Iowa assistant, returned to Indiana State for the second time in his career as Waltman's assistant this season. He was instrumental in getting Vette, from Waverly-Shell Rock, and Printy, of Linn-Mar, to sign letters of intent last fall.

Lansing, who is Indiana State's interim head coach, is supposed to interview for the Sycamores' head coaching job next week.

"I've always dreamed of being a head coach, and this could be that opportunity," Lansing said. "I just have to wait and see what happens. I'd certainly like to coach the recruiting class we signed."

Vette said he hasn't spent too much time worrying about his future.

"I've just worried about getting down here," Vette said. "But it has been stressful at times."

Vette said he's pulling for Lansing to get the job.

"I'll still be there if he's the guy," Vette said. "I want to see how it plays out."

Printy said he's also pulling for Lansing to get the job.

"He did most of my recruiting, and he and I are pretty close," Printy said. "I'm pulling for him right now."

<b>"Indiana State's interim head coach"</b>??????

Funny, there was no announcement about that at Indiana State. Nothing on their website.

I think that its just a formality. They have to technically have someone running the program...

Didn't I read somewhere that the Illinois State soccer coach is running the Men's Basketball program until a new coach is hired?
