Rumor: Hinson to be given one-year extension

Rumor: in response to a threat from one of the bigger-money supporters to pull funding, it is rumored that MSU will give coach Barry Hinson a one-year extension.

Wow. If they do re-sign Hinson for one more year, it is proof that, regardless of what happens, Bill Rowe can find the absolute worst thing to do in any situation. A one-year extension simply ensures that we will go through all of this next year in the exact same way only with what looks to be a much-worse team. Either sign him to a multi-year contract as a real vote of confidence or fire him. This one-year crap is just ridiculous and an utter waste of time.

Well it shows me that the long term strategy of the MSU athletic Department is to make half the people happy this year by keeping him......and then when we go 16-14 next season the other half will be very happy when they fire him and there will be more justification, and when we go 16-14 more of the people that wanted him to stay will be calling for his head....

As long as Berrah doesn't get to coach in JQH i will be happy......he is not worthy of a new Arena.....but i want him gone now, don't get me wrong.
