Title says it all. With Funk, Tolliver, and Porter all gone, if he's ever going to leave he's logically going to leave now. His season is over. So what does he do?

Not even a question worth broaching...he's staying 'til he retires.

question:
why would he leave?
Altman lacks the two main conditions that , 90% of the time, drive coaches to look for something "better":
1. Sub-standard salary
2. Sub-standard facility
Even though he's looking at 3 key players leaving, any bigger BCS school that's looking for a coach isn't likely to currently have a rosy outlook to their future either.
He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

the only way i see him leaving is for retirement
Other wise, where's the step up?

If a really good job pops up, he will go. But, it would have to be a consistent top 25 program near the Midwest. I don't think that means Iowa (and it sure does not mean Minnesota - get that Lowrey). What it could mean is Kentucky and/or Louisville if Tubby leaves and Pitino takes his place. At either of those schools they would not settle for anyone below Altman's quality and could offer the moon. The Valley needs him to stay, though. I hope he does.

He'll probably stay -- I don't think there are many jobs he'd seriously consider.
But one of those would be Iowa... if Alford does leave for New Mexico, Altman might contemplate an eastward move.
The reports were that he turned down OU last year in what sounded like a single phone call.
OU >>>>>> Iowa.
