Just to get everyone warmed up for the NCAA games tomorrow, you can turn on ESPN early on Saturday morning and watch Bradley play instead of the stupid CBS pre-game. It should be a good game, hopefully Bradley can continue their march to New York.

Unlike most NIT games, the crowd at Starkville looks loud and enthusiastic.

Crouch getting open looks and missing. He needs to get hot.

...and BU is cold from the 3 point line, having made only one so far. Mississippi St seems to beating BU at their own game right now.:braves: :valley:

The score is now 24-18 in favor of Miss St with 11:14 left in the first half.

We're giving them too many open shots by double-teaming the post and they're hitting those open shots. Crouch needs to heat up....

26-18 MSU....

Jeremy Crouch is even missing Free Throws. Not a good sign. BU please warm up. BU still trails 26-19.:braves: :valley:

Bradley is hanging in there. If Crouch does heat up I think they can take this...

If anyone on Bradley starts hitting the three consistently they can take this... come on.

Tauai completely undercut on a layup. Ouch

shocker3
03-17-2007, 12:44 PM
BU continues to miss FTs, Tauai had a chance to tie it at the line, he made one, BU now trails by 1, 33-32,

Wow! No worries about either team having a shot clock violation. My guess is the average possession time is 10 seconds. Great follow up dunk by Ruffin off of Tauai's missed shot even though it didn't count.

Not a lot of defense being played but it's a fun game to watch!!

35-32 MSU at the under 4:00 timeout.

Mississippi State is killing us on the glass. I had a feeling this would happen. This has been our achilles heel all year. Need more bigs.

MSU leads 44-38 at the half.

Ruffin's played well, but we're going to need a lot more out of Andrews if we're going to win this....

All in all, it wasn't a bad half. We survived the Bulldogs early barrage and are still within easy striking distance....

I had a feeling this was going to happen. This team is playing for next year (Miss. State) when they should be a ranked team.

It's never fun to lose but I just want to congratulate the Braves on a fine season overall. I know that I, like many others, did not anticipate this kind of showing from a team that lost both POB and Sommerville. Given that you have a good recruiting class coming in, the Braves look to be in fine shape for next season. Again, congrats on a good showing all year. You guys were fun to watch.

Off day for the Braves IMO. Les and Co. tried their hardest to figure something out but nothing got the players to put the ball in the bucket today. I will 2nd what tcgshock posted.

Rough ending to the season, but I am proud of these guys. Nobody expected this team to match last year's win total (22).

Just when it looked like Bradley was making a run in this game to cut the lead to 7 with about 7 to play, Mississippi State goes nuts. Bradley definitely didn't have a great shooting day. It's too bad the final score was so lopsided because this game was a lot closer than this deep into the 2nd half.

Thanks for the congrats. It was a fine season for the Braves considering where we thought we were going to be.
