Someone mentioned on the CU board of our past postseason exits

03- Central Michigan-- Joe dabbert drops a lob pass between his legs we LOSE

04- NIT game vs Nebraska (OUR ARCH enemy)-- lost at the buzzer

05- West Virginia-- Nate gets stuffed at the buzzer and I wanna say that went into OT too

06- We get SCREWED by refs in the NIT game against Miami and lost at the last 4 seconds

07- Now Nevada

These hurt.

Naw, I'm done with the Bluebird Nation for now. I had no idea there were so many on the edge of the cliff or I wouldn't have pestered them. It's heartbreaking to see long-time posters completely melt down when they receive a bit of their own medicine.

P.S.

To Blue and all those who wanted my response last night I apologize. I was out at a sushi bar with my honey and didn't get back to the PC until 3am. What a lovely surprise to find out that one of our Valley teams advanced.

Creighton had a great run again this year. Nothing for the Jay's to hang thier head over.

This is the wrong place to look for any sympathy. At least Creighton gets to play in the post-season on a regular basis. "Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you".

What's sad is that you went back to your PC at 3 am after going to a sushi bar with "your honey" (ie, your right hand).

Did you watch the game? Having a shot at the end of the game to beat a Top 15 team and coming up short isn't about coaching. Holding All-American Fazekas to his second worst game of the year isn't bad either.

Fact is, CU had chances and missed some open shots while Nevada hit some big shots late. End of story, end of season.

I'll be a Saluki fan until the start of the 07-08 season. :salukis:

To be fair, maybe if you fellas would win a game in the tourney, oh, say, once a decade, maybe the Valley would get more than 2 teams in.

maybe if you fellas could string together a few NCAA(or the NIT i guess  ) then the valley would get more than 2 teams in. or maybe if you fellas wouldn't have 100% collapsed after starting out 9-0, we'd get more than 2.

CU fans asking for sympathy! This really is classic. Try being a fan of Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, or Indiana State the last few years. They are the ones who have had heartbreak, and yet you don't see them on here begging for someone to hold them.

fever,

seriously get a hold of yourself. this is a little pathetic to cry about "heartbreaking" close losses.

Win some lose some.

We've played hard in all those games and just come up short. No reason to moan to the peanut gallery for sympathy.

You swept us?? Really?? I was at the game here in Wichita and I seem to remember PJ Cousinard stuffing Nate Funk at the buzzer. Hmmm???? Yep. My memory serves me correct. I'm pretty sure the Shockers went on to win by 3 as well. Tell me I'm wrong.

Your point is made, but get your facts straight first.

Wow I didn't know they had sushi bars in trailers. Trailer park metrosexuals, who would have thought of that?

Oh well, we at this "directional school" can back up our trash talk. We're a directional in name only, look at our research profile if you want evidence of that. Meanwhile, you are an alumni(?) of a city school with the state moniker at the end of it, which I think is tackier than a directional name, but perception does differ a little bit here I guess. If Memphis State thought it was such a good idea, they wouldn't have changed to the University of Memphis.

Maybe you should change your name to Fairmount University - FU for short.

HAHAHAHA. People in Wichita live in trailers? HILARIOUS.

I've never heard that joke on here before! The creativity it takes to come up with that has to be imeasurable!

     Actually, Wichita (per capita) has the 2nd most trailer parks of any midwestern city of over 100,000. The first is Oklahoma City, but some would argue that is a southwestern city. So, in essence, Fraydog is correct, although stereotypically lumping and somewhat insulting towards all the fine citizens of Wichita. :original::lol:

I think that the City of Wichita's Office of Central Inspection will be doing something about the mobile home problem.

If not reducing the quantity of these eyesores, then over time we should see an improvement in quality.

There was a recent article in The Wichita Eagle's business section that discussed the changing landscape here.....something like 50% fewer mobile home dealers over the past few years. If I can find it again, I'll post it......or not.

I've seen that thrown around here on Valleytalk, but I don't buy it.

You have anything to back that up?

I don't dare ask Dawg_Tired. He can't back up anything.

A quick internet search yielded this:
http://www.statemaster.com/graph/hou_per_of_hou_uni_tha_are_mob_hom-housing-percent-units-mobile-homes
which doesn't exactly back up your statement, even though it is for the entire state and not just the city.

Think your heart was broken? How would you like to be Royce Waltman knowing he had to win at the tourny, and the Bluejay fans are chanting Royce sucks? And, oh, almost forgot, with 4 seconds to go up by 20, the spare bench player throws up a 3 pointer instead of running out the clock. No dude, what goes around comes around.

And is anyone surprised by this? Cold is Cold. You should know by now the only way to deal with him is to IGNORE him. Cold is probably a good enough person away from this board; he just posts in a way to get the biggest rise out of the most people. But each and every time someone bites.

It says alot about Cold - he was no where to be seen when WSU was tanking the season, but he is here within hours of CU losing in the NCAA's while his Shockers were sitting at home.

He can dish the insults and flames, but apparently can't take it. For some reason, I'm not surprised.

Royce did suck. But, he was perhaps the best small school, overachieving, non-conference game coach I have ever seen.

You must not have been aroudn for the Renn, Menser, Green eras. ISU was tough!!!

Sorry to hear CU fans kicking a class guy while he's down.

PS pretty sure the bench player was Brice Nengsu. Kid from Cameroon who doesn't know what to do on the court so he often jacks up shots whenever he touches the ball. It is almost like a panic response.
