Good night! You know, I really hate Butler, because their fans were doing this same thing to us after we beat them. But the level of venom from those arrogant, self-righteous pinheads topped even Butler fans. I now officially detest Maryland more than anyone else in college hoops. Those people could even make Coldblooded cry (or laugh...).

How can you honestly say that mid-majors cheat, suck, don't play right, are lucky, etc., so on, and so forth, when your team's season has been ended by one for the second year in a row??? Truly amazing, but also very East Coast...

So true, complete BCS/ East Coast BS the Mid- majors and the Mid- West has to continually put up with.... The people on that board are vile, but Maryland is typically arrogant, thinking they should get invited to the tourney just because they play in the ACC. Duke proved why that theory is stupid and showed everyone that even Duke can loose to a mid-major. Sorry Turtles, it don't work that way, you pieces of slime...

I have never seen such a fanbase that can't think for themselves so they just parrot their whiney coach.

Of course they have a few sensible fans, but the majority appear to have the opinion that as soon as they trot their "superior athletes" out on the floor, the referees should just declare the game over and give them the win. They truly have no clue what makes basketball such a great sport. Instead, they just prefer to hate on anyone who might dare to challenge them.

It's pathetic, really. Their loss. Literally.

Here we are......hours after Maryland goes down to Butler, and those ignorant fans still don't know where Butler's campus is located!!

That's a pretty weird obsession with Jon Scheyer they have going on there. I also find it highly comical that some of their fans think Williams to be National COY for getting his players to play together. Isn't that usually a basic assumption of the job?

Wow, that's like a look into an alternate universe to me, I've never seen anything like that. I honestly had no idea that fans of a program could be THAT arrogant, that is just unbelievable. Talk about discrediting mid majors, wow.

They just absolutely refuse to give Butler credit. Good reading.

They blamed it on the 3 point line, saying it needs to be moved back...

"2 teams that had no business even being on the court with Maryland were able to hang with us because of it"(paraphrased).

Also called it a huge upset...considering Butler was only one seed higher and Maryland was over-seeded in the first place(Marlyand and Creighton had damn near identical resumes...if Creighton was a 10, Maryland wasnt a 4...both should of been around a 6 IMO), I dont consider that to be true.

I just wanted to come here and congradulate you guys on a hard fought game. Ive read this site for the past day and have read some stuff trashing butler but I hope you guys are believers now. Its not all about athletics, its also about basketball IQ. That being said i think you have a good coach and a good foundation for next season. Good luck.

Thanks for the kind words, I guess in your minds the season is an overwhelming success now. Good luck against Florida - you'll need to hit >50% of the jacked up 3s again to have any shot at all.

If the mid's are so terrible and we have no chance at ever winning, go ahead and schedule all of them you can find Gary Williams. What a miserable pile of **** he is. I'm glad I took the time to read the Terp message board. It remided me why I hate them - they are so far up each other's own lies that they think titles should just be handed to them. Who died and left Maryland - a worthless school - as king. Also, what kind of program can go from winning a National Championship to missing the tournament a few years later. What a joke!
