Except this time, SIU is going farther. As in, Final Four farther.

As much as I want it to happen too, I just dont think they can get past KU. Yeah, I know, Bradley beat em last year with basically the same team. But, I bet BU shot better then SIU can ever dream of shooting and I bet the factor of KU overlooking BU played a role. I dont think that will happen this year.

So Dawgs!!

So what, Kansas won't overlook SIU? I maintain that Kansas is going to have to get over their jitters of having fierce looking, blood-thirsty defenders in their face for EVERY shot in order to win this game.

I don't usually get in on debates about who is going to win or lose, but that being said -------

KU may basically be the same team that Bradley beat last year EXCEPT they are one year older and one year wiser and EXCEPT for small and inconsequential details like Sherron Collins and Darrell Arthur. Unless KU has a complete shooting breakdown, I don't see SIU coming out the victor in this. I'm torn on this because I want the Valley to go as far as they can go, but I'm also a WSU fan first, a Valley fan second and as a Kansan, born and bred, I am also a KU fan. I personally feel that KU is the stronger team and has the bigger horses (more talent) and therefore will go further in the tournament. I will not be "for" either of the teams come Thursday night, but will just sit back and enjoy. May the better team win and move on.

Caveat: We all know ANYTHING can happen in a single-elimination tournament, and has. If SIU gets hot and stays hot and Kansas comes out cold and stays that way ---- well, then the better team on Thursday night will win.

Over looking BU in Round One is one thing. Over looking SIU in the Round of 16 is another. And no, I dont think they will and think that this could get ugly quickly.

I think SIU has a chance to win this game. They'll have to play their best game of the year to do it, but that's not far-fetched.

Without Shaw, though, it's very very tough. I would feel very confident if Shaw were playing. Without him it will be very difficult.

Kansas is not invinceable though. If SIU can shoot reasonably close to how they did Sunday, I think they win a close game 62-59. It may take a herculean performance from an unlikely source to get it done though.

I'm watching role players like Tyrone Green, Josh Bone, Tony Boyle and Wesley Clemmons in this game.

I would rather be in their position. Actually, I would give bunch to be in either one of your positions.
